Quick Update guys.

The New Nose is back at my shop. Scott did a great job and I am will be sending him my dash in the next couple weeks for the lower dash modification. I am really looking forward to him modify the lower dash to look like his.

I couldn't be happier.

Well this week end went real well for the 72 camaro. Will be softening the front spring's and the sway bar a little.Charge the A/C and it will ready For Sale.Exhaust is a on the loud or (Pissed off) side. But in 6th gear at 70 mph it's pretty quiet.

WSSix 09-05-2011 08:25 AM

Camaro looks sweet! Scott, you do some great work man. I would have never thought of incorporating that Torino hood scoop on a 2nd gen Camaro, nice work.

Thank's.After I thought of the Idea I saw it on a 70 camaro. But I went ahead and put my twist on it.

This last week I instaled a set of Ride Tech's Single ajustable coil overs on the camaro.Man what a differants there is in shocks. These new ride tech shocks are night and day so much better than what I had.And they really worked well at RTTH event this last week.As soon as the lift is free I will get some photos of the shocks all mounted up,and have Tom post'em.The strange coil overs I had on the car made It drive with a little bounce. The ride techs ride so much smoother and have the same spring rates.2 weeks ago I drove the camaro 35 miles to a car show(bummer no autox) I noticed the back of the hood bounced a little. After I changed to ride techs no more hood bouncing just a nice smooth cadillac like ride. And at RTTH this week we made a few ajustments and bang we were in the Top 10 shoot out sat. afternoon.Ride Tech shock's and Kevin Miller wheeling the car is a good combo.

Car looks awesome, how is it on the highway? Does it fight you alot with the big fronts? I have 285's on all corners of my 1996 impala ss and it's not bad at all unless the road surface is really grooved bad.

The new Ride Tech coil overs really improved the drive & ride qualtiy over the strange coil overs. The car does not seem to wonder at all w/the 295's.I have not really driven the camaro w/the 315's yet.I am going to save those for another project.I have noticed a slight movement in the steering wheel because I just have a reg. Ujoint conected to the steering column.I need to get one w/ a rubber bushing in the column end of it.Thanks for the good word's.

I don't know what FS mean's.But thank's for bringing a dead thread back to life.Maybe we can keep it going as long as Project Payback.

I get back to posting a little more on here, (and hadn't checked this thread in a while) and I thought this was Todd's thread for a minute. I had to click through 12 pages just to find the same three pictures. Then I remembered if it was Todd's thread there would be photos of rubber gloves holding broken parts

Car looks like it came out great Scott! I've been trying to fine tune my car so that I'll be fast, then I realized I could solve all of my problems by painting it orange. Between your car, Brian Hobaugh's 2nd gen, Dale Jr's DSE car, Mary's car, and Bad Penny, orange seems to be the fast color.

Scott, if I hadn't already over spent this year, your car would be looking foward to a long season of me driving your Camaro in the American Street Car Series. Other than the HP it might need to fight with Brian and Kyle, it has everything it needs to be top a top 5 car everywhere else, but maybe Optima, and I don't think anything but a vette, can beat a vette. For the price, it is a perfect starting point for somebody that wants to be very competitive in our sport. I wish that it had been available 2 1/2 years ago, you would have saved me a bunch of $$$$$$ Good Luck with the sale! P.S. my wife freaks every time she sees me looking at your threads:thumbsup:

dunnjun 12-17-2011 01:41 PM

Ha Ha I wished I could get her excited about about the new old stuff, but she missed the musclecar era, and can't understand why we spend the time and money we do on "old cars". Hopefully I can get her to come an event this year and try a autox. That's how I got hooked.:unibrow:

coolwelder62 12-17-2011 03:16 PM

coolwelder62 12-18-2011 09:39 AM

I wish we had a Dairy Queen in town. All we have is a sonic. The car has been finished for 4 months and has 5400 miles on it.So I drive it aton.I drive to work almost everyday.
