It really only needs to knock GWENS socks (well and maybe a bit more) off!!

I'm going to give it to her for her birthday June 15th at the L A Roadster Show... until then I'm trying my best to keep the whole thing secret.

The amount of bling on the car is going to look great with the blue.
Did you get the louvers in the rear panel? How's about a rear bumper, simple tube or? Looks great as is, either way I don't think many will notice the details with Gwen behind the wheel! Has she driven the 32?

Nuff questions
Dan

Couple more.
Interior color? And do you match the top or just go black?

Very cool, I'm done.

The rear panel gets louvers

The interior is "red" but more subdued red not lipstick red

No rear or front bumpers - they're really overrated...

I'm going to give it to her - that doesn't mean she'll get to actually drive it. What are you thinking?!?!?!?!

The top is black cloth --- the body is blue - the interior is red.

DBasher 09-12-2013 08:19 PM

I should have known better...didn't you drive the R8 to Divers and play it off as "her" car!:D

Dan

Greg,

I see whitewalls 'are still in the picture' on that two-tone '56.

Kinda symbolic, huh?

That one is most definitely her car.

I love the stance, especially the way the rear wheel and tire fill up the space right to the body line over the wheel. Its going to be an awesome color combination, the Red gut will really pop against the blue. I'm glad it going so smooth for this build. Thumbs up bud!
Oh and good luck with that socks coming off thing too.

FETorino 09-12-2013 09:17 PM

Perfect dude:thumbsup: Stance, color, wheels, rusty red interior. No chrome on the spreader bar, paint.

Just keep the hood closed.:lmao:

Thanks Wayne!! My goal was "traditional hot rod WITH attitude"... I think the paint and finish will help add some attitude. Black is an attitude color - but I've wanted a "navy blue" hot rod forever - so blue it is! The red is just another combo color I stole fair and square. LOL

RE: Socks

Dude! I'm old! I'm more interested in a good nights sleep.... HAHAHHAHA

Thanks Rob! Do you really just like it because it's a Ford? :>)

The only time the hood will ever open is when I need to check the oil.

DOOM 09-13-2013 06:26 AM

As usual I can't say no more!:king:

Well when you start with a better base it does make it easier. :D I'm not a fan of the deuces but I love the 33s. I really dig the Magnesium look wheels and the muted blue and rusty red. As was mentioned before the rear tire height is dead on. The windscreen and grille profile, sick. When this comes back from paint I need to make a trip to the shop.

Looks good Mr. Weld

Will you ever bring this down to the Roadster show?

Introduction at 2014 Grand National

Also will be at L A Roadster Show June 2014

GregWeld 09-13-2013 05:33 PM

Rob (FETorino) texted me a pic he'd taken last year at GNRS... Thought it might show the paint a little better -- even though we know he uses some cellphone technology that originates with string and cans.... HA!!!

Greg, that is sweet! Elegant and Smooth at the same time. I love the LS in it---great idea. Will you drive up for the RTTC here in SO Cal in March? If so, you got a spot in the driveway on Taco Party night fo shizzle.

GregWeld 09-27-2013 05:52 PM

Well --- Right on schedule and just like Roy said it would be -- the old POS is at the paint shop.

Turns out nobody has the paint code for the Phil Remmington car I'm copying --- but the owner of the car is taking a piece off the car and sending it to us so we can color match it. That's a real hot rodder for ya!! I'd do the same for someone if they asked me... it's just what we do!

You think Obama would give a crap about me?? I'm the 1%'r that bastard hates!

Besides -- aircraft paint would be too good (especially if it's on a gubernut plane!) for this old bondo wagon!

Swain 09-27-2013 08:04 PM
