With a rider in the car (me) that wasn't supposed to be there for that session? Yeah, that one. He remembered it as a third gear corner, actually it was a second gear corner... :drive:

Model of front seats...
I am interested in upgrading my existing front seats, what model are those that you decided to go with for this build? Thanks... :thankyou: :flag2:

Thanks a lot I appreciate the feedback. That is exactly the information I was looking for. At this point I need more comfortable seats for longer term driving.

I love how the back seats match the front seats

Here are 2 versions of blue wheels - All blue and the center blue. All blue might be too much blue being 18" wheels?

Stock Steering Wheel?

Are you keeping the stock steering wheel or going with your preferred MOMO? I like the cruise control! |

I like the look of the stock steering wheel for this project. Once I start driving it. I might swap it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thanks for the effort, the photo shop job looks good. Still on the fence on black or blue wheels. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
If you do go with the blue, I like the black outer/smaller blue version. Makes it look a lot more like a period correct 15" wheel/tire.
|
Yep, my vote would be Blue with the black outer lip too. Probably flatten the black a tad to come closer to your tire color.

Mark, what is the driver's sport mirror from? Is it non-remote?
I plan to put a pair on my son's car but the driver's I have has the manual remote cables. I do not want to cut the original doors panels. |
Hey mark , question regarding your transmission. Do you run the .63 6th gear , or the .50 6th gear model

I use G-Body sport mirrors. They are remote operated from the factory. They have a cable on them stock. I make new mechanical parts for them to make them manual adjustable. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d20a8a888b.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...fa98b80cd9.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...9f0e33ce5b.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...2fdf1e68e7.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...07b48028d5.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...072209d543.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...8531b63aa8.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...e91cfe72ab.jpg I have tried a few different ways of doing it. This is not easy. I knew someone would eventually ask the question so here are a few photos. To get it to fit in the housing is a lot of trial and error. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have been using the .63 because it is more fun for road tours when you are in the mountains. If you live in KS and you want better fuel economy get the 0.5. The engine rpm drops a lot but makes the 4-5-6 gear spacing large. With the big gear rpm drops the engine is lugging or spinning up. It is a personal preference deal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Mark, did you go with the close ratio and have D&D do the .50 swap on this build?
|
Quote:
D&D can give you the tight ratio 1-5 and add a 0.5 6th. This works great with a blower motor with a ton of torque because it can pull the 3.25 rear gear and the OD. For this build with a stock LS7 I closely copied the 2014 Z/28 with a tight 1-6 and a 3.73 rear gear. It will turn a little bit more RPM at 80 but should drive great.
