I fully believe its still "touring" from a trailer, just not as fun...

Dave it's been a while so I thought I would check in and say hi. Any updates :poke:

Ron in SoCal 11-28-2015 12:12 PM

Dave told me he's decided building cars is not for him. From now on, it's interior decorating, cooking class and keezers

Sieg is helping with the first two.

MX145 11-28-2015 12:40 PM

Those things do take priority ;)

I saw the pic of the car in front of the trailer and got excited. I must have spent a couple hours going back a 100 pages and I'm still confused as to the current status of BMF but who am I to raz Dave. Im one of the worst at posting updates.

WSSix 11-28-2015 05:09 PM

Car is in NC with Payton's unless it's been moved again. Is it Pettigrew that's doing the builds?

I'm just going to sit back and continue to be patient and hopeful that the build goes smoothly cause this is one badass ride.

Siegs cars all run and drive - so he has plenty of spare time on his hands.

Wow. He does some pretty awesome stuff.

GregWeld 12-01-2015 08:40 PM

Even a rendering would be an improvement on what we're getting out of this thread.

I should have some updated pics soon.

Looks like someone figured out how to use a cutting tool, that's a start....

Why are you leaving what's left of the floor anyways. Just cut it too and put the body on a tube chassis

Hey Neil.. Yeah I should have done a lot of things.

I'm coming out to California for a ride when it's done!

WSSix 12-05-2015 08:25 AM

I want to meet you in NC when it's done. Payton too. You guys are too close for me not to make the trip to NC once these cars are finished. Always glad to see progress being made on the car, Dave.

You referencing the old Mustang or the new one?? They could be a little different but could be the same color.

Where in Charlotte is the shop located? My son lives in Concord, next time I'm down maybe I'll have time to check stuff out. Glad to see you're moving ahead, and if you are going to clone Payton's car you will indeed have one bad a$$ ride!

I don't really know where it is actually. :sieg:

Payton goes by there fairly often still as his car is there. You should hook up with him (think you already have before maybe?) next time you're coming. And bring a keg. :D

With Jim and Payton involved.... and then the recent addition of Ron Sutton... and I think I am on a good path. :whenitsdone:

So why does it look like a tank chassis here:

Instead of a bad ass race car chassis like this one?

Pettigrew is the fab guy. 20 years Nascar fab experience at Hendrick. Built Jimmy Johnson's 1st gen Camaro (1st with SB2.2 engine, then with LS9).

Sutton is the setup/suspension consultant... well, everyone knows Sutton by now.

Payton is the assistant PM (should be the lead PM but I digress). Weld called him a loser but I do not agree.

I think we'll be just fine over here with our little street car project.
