If you will put a zip tie on the braided line where you want to cut and then use a cut off wheel to cut into the zip tie and line at the same time, the zip tie will melt and keep the braided together, peeling off the melted part after cool down. It does take a little practice though.

Thanks guys
I've been in contact with a guy to do some aluminum tubing welds for me. He was supposed to call Monday ,so I text him and still nothing. Sounds like time to look else where. Tomorrow we're going to try to epoxy and tap the power steering reservoir for the returns from the Hydroboost and steering box. I hope something hold on it epoxy wise. |
A lot of small progress done since my last post we installed a couple of fittings on the power steering reservoir and I plumbed it in and mounted on the fender well. I used XRP hose and AN fittings made for power steering pressure.

Then we marked up some hoses that will need to be sent out to be crimped. This pic only shows where it will be mounted, it still needs to be attached to the firewall. I.D. wanted it as close to the injectors as I could get it. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/128...922/6PtB85.jpg It's not as close as it seems to the header plus it has a heat protection cover on it. The bottom of the filter will be moved over to mount it plumb. |
We're into the wiring now :bang: Not my favorite.... Like Greg W. says one thing at a time!

And my latest part from GM $28 http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/128...923/l2MVGb.jpg GM tucking it to to you one part at a time! |

The annoying thing is there is likely less than fifty cents in cost for that connector. Try to avoid buying parts at a dealer if you can Wayne. Sometimes it's hard to find a part number but there are dealers online with detailed parts diagrams with part numbers. You can save a lot of money and these build are costly enough as it is. Don |
She's coming along nicely Wayne!
