P.S. How's the fire sale going? That sounds like quite a .... change.

Well -- given the effort (which was to relabel my signature).... the results are commensurate to-date. In other words - zilch. This isn't a hot rod site - only a couple guys around here even know what one is... most have never driven one... and since it's not a real racer site - "the rig" might be a bit of overkill for most people that have one car. :bang:

So, in other words, you're half assing it... gotcha. :D

Don't be shy... let's hear it. :stirthepot:

rustomatic 01-04-2016 09:44 PM

Yay--tubes! I like the idea behind the thread-in coilovers, given the potential for height adjustments without killing travel or causing pointless coil bind for "stancing" purposes. The contrast between round and rectangular tubing looks really great!

"Twerk arm" = priceless!:captain1:

It was discussed and considered. One main factor (exhaust plans) kept us with the TA.

yes, the shock adjusters and watts link adjuster will make things so much more palatable.

And I really like how the jungle gym is coming together as well.

GregWeld 01-05-2016 10:25 AM

Doesn't matter --- the whole thing will get re-done the first time Gaetano passes him.

LOL

Let's just say.... I'm not real serious about any of it except the building of a new track beast. I MUST keep up with the Joneses!!

What's the most interesting?? The quality over quantity comment? Or the parts that are missing? Or the comments? Or the lack of progress? Or.....?

LOL

Chad-1stGen 01-05-2016 03:35 PM

And yet now, way ahead of schedule, BMF rises from the ashes...like a Phoenix (that's not in Arizona).

Flash68 01-05-2016 04:44 PM

My understanding is it is just for height adjustments for my street vs track trim.

The link adjuster will be the primary rear suspension tuning tool for a TA setup to adjust rear RC.

Its not like this thread is on track much anyway so I'll just drop this threadjack here...

Please just tell us its NOT a Camaro or 'vette.

Re: Off track thread

This thread is about building a Track car... based in principal on NASCAR and TRANS AM race cars.... because everyone I know has a tube chassis street car with a space for a child seat.... LOL

No I will NOT be building a Camaro or Corvette. I have too many 'projects' going right now - House - '40 Ford Pick up - Alex's '51 Pick up... and thankfully for me it's not about $$ but about attention span and ability to concentrate and COMPLETE (had to toss that grenade here) stuff before embarking on another epic project. When I do turn the turret and take aim... I hope it will be super interesting and I will post a thread.

Just imagine what it will be like when it has a chassis, suspension, wheels, brakes, floor, interior, and an engine and transmission and a paint job.

Then it will be really nice !

intocarss 01-06-2016 11:15 AM

Move over Big Red....there's a new Sherriff in town :bigun2: :hail:

I don't see a Camaro in this thread or Greg's thread so you're safe.

Does sitting on a milk crate while it's being loaded onto a trailer constitute "driving it"??
