GW...I know you don't want public displays of affection and all that, but man...towing cars for people, helping out vendors, equipment for event organizers. I know you've got nothing but $$ and time and no life (jk) but seriously, that's very generous of you.

Mad props big daddy

Greg, it was a pleasure meeting you and chatting very briefly when in the staging lane to make a run. Disappointed I didn't get to talk more with the crazy ass weather. Hope to see ya next weekend for the USCA event.

Thanks buddy! Just helping people out -- which gets me out and about -- so it's all good.

Well --- Got home tonight from the Laguna Seca - Texas Motor Speedway USCA events - with a Good-Guys Show tossed in for good measure.

A little "info" as related to this thread:

To top this off --- I had a blow out on the inside passenger drive tire.... That actually blew the door off the generator -- and broke that latch -- bowed out the nice stainless steel door that is part of the truck "skirt".... destroyed the remote start relay on the Generator - costing me a day at Cummins in Avondale Aridzona.... and a few hundred in repairs. The tires? All four drive tires replaced (3 grand worth)... because while they appeared brand new - they were date coded '07. My Freightliner truck chassis is an '08 -- even though it's titled as a 2010 (the date built by Renegade). I had already replaced the steer tires - but thought I could get away with the drivers going a few more miles. Big mistake.

Bout $180 per day? The trip and memories, priceless? (well ya spent time with me lol).

But i like the idea of traveling in your own coach. Your gonna spend it on hotels any ways....might as well be able to take a "_____" anytime you want, priceless.

I like my 14 year old coach, nothing fancy, but it gets the job done.......love being able to cook, rest, change, read....anytime ya want. Freedom of the open road...

Couldn't agree more Mike!

I love having my own stuff - my own bed - I like to cook.... In fact I only ate out when Adrienne flew in for the week between events at TMS.

Was great meeting you and chatting!

Greg,

Glad you're alright.

Are you and Adrienne the 2 cooks in the family? :)

Being "alright" is a relative thing.... This trip aged me about 5 years or more... and after this trip - I now know that what I've been telling people since I bought the Mustang and all the supporting crapola..... That I only plan to do this about 10 more years (at which point I'd be 70+). Driving these rigs -- loading and unloading "stuff" and cars - and more stuff and more cars..... wears you out. Then when you finally get home -- you realize all the stuff you should have been doing (since like December when we left for Sun Valley) has not gotten magically done -- and you tear into all that.

Thank goodness DBasher came over yesterday to look at the cars -- and I conned him into helping me unload the Shell Gas Pump I'd bought. Thank you Dan!!

I've done all the cooking in our "relationship" (spans 43 years)... Gwen pretty much doesn't boil water. Had I not been an exec in NYC - I could have been a chef in a heartbeat! Adrienne is the apple that didn't fall far from the tree. She like cars - racin' - cooking and doesn't mind getting dirty despite being pure girly girl.

My pleasure Greg, visits like that are HUGE motivators for me! Crawling around the mustang (which you stole) and sitting in the gokart was worth the unpaid trip to Hellevue.

Let me know if you ever need anything like if the water in the pool needs to be moved around or old nasty used parts fall off the fastback!

I'm actually working on SE 8th tomorrow for a bit, let me know if you need gas for the pressure washer or a coffee.

Dan
