Lost the desire to post much in this thread with what Greg Weld was going through...RIP.

For me it at least, it may be time to wrap this one up.

To go out on a high note, IMHO overall, GM ‘A’ bodies didn’t get any better than in ‘70.

Here’s a super rare GS 455 1970 Stage 1.

It just needs a chassis. :drive:

Skip, I can understand your point, but Greg was an Inspiration to me and he did not want anyone to be sad.

I'd like to think that I'm taking the other direction and posting more in hope that Greg's spirit lives on - he was always about helping others, whether it was about his fight against Cancer, Cars, Guns, Life in General. The only time I tear up a little is reading the messages he & I would send each other.

I miss him but I'm a better man from knowing him ( and now his Daughter Adrienne)

No Bad Days!

Hi T.C.,

Very well said.

Guys, I didn't know Greg a tenth of how many of y'all did. Except for here and the few personal calls we did have when I needed to pick his brain about something and some advice. But, one thing I do know, is Greg WOULD NOT want any discontinuance of stopping of anything car related on his behalf. I know how much he loved cars and this site for sure and would want this to continue. Just my .02˘ for what it's worth.

I didn't know Greg at all outside of reading his posts, however, it's quite obvious that he had a huge impact on this hobby and all those who knew/interacted with him. I felt compelled to post here because one thing I'm certain of is that the greatest tribute we can pay to those who've made an impact in our lives is to continue their legacy, that is to say, to "pay it forward" to others by taking the opportunities we're presented with to help others, whether it be a random act of kindness or simply extending a word of encouragement or helping hand. Those we help may not even know for whose sake we do it, but WE know and that's enough to keep them on our hearts and minds. Certainly, talking about them and sharing memories and funny stories is a wonderful way to honor their memory as well.
I can tell you without a doubt that what keeps me coming back and posting here is the fact that so many have offered words of encouragement, wisdom and constructive criticism to me throughout my project(s) and it's only on the rarest occasion that a "drama queen" emerges. That's something worth being a part of. Thanks for listening!

I am one of the Organizers for Donations to fight Childhood Cancer in Greg's name.

One of the things I have been thinking about is a "Greg Weld Pay it Forward Parts F/S Thread". The Idea is that a lot of us have Parts sitting around from past projects that we will never use. We could put parts up for Free ( the person getting them would pay Shipping) and the Buyer/Recipient would make a Donation in Greg's name to fight Cancer!

What does everybody think?

TC,

I think that's a fantastic idea. You have my vote.
