Hey Scott -

What gear do you use for your photography? Your shots are really good.

Thanks. It's a Nikon D90. I really, really like it.

Wow, great job. I could never have a garage that nice. I would be too worried about keeping it clean. :_paranoid

I would probably have opted out of the flake in the epoxy coat. If you accidentally drop a small nut, bolt, or fastener on a floor like that it can become very difficult to find.

You know, I thought the exact same thing. I do a lot of work in areas with terrazzo floors in my day job and know what you're talking about. It's like camoflage for small items. lol My first thought for the garage was no flakes, but the supplier talked me out of it for several reasons, and I'm glad I took their advice. The floor is so much brighter now, and even with the flakes, nuts, screws, and other small items like that are much easier to find then they were on bare concrete.

Cool thanks. I have a Nikon D80 and I love it but never get those kind of shots! Goes to show it's the talent of the operator and not the equipment. (those new golf clubs didn't make me much better either....;) )

Not sure about the D80, but the D90 has Picture Control Settings within the camera so you can turn up the saturation. It makes the images pop.

Great looking garage. I think you did it in the right order. Finish the car and then mint out the garage. I would hate to see what it would look like in there after a complete resto. Did you finish the door trim yet?

Scott, How is the floor holding up and what brand did you use? I was playing with a few ideas, either epoxy or ceramic tile. I'm getting ready to start on my section for the Camaro.

XcYZ 06-04-2010 06:13 AM

It's holding up great. It's from Wolverine Coatings and the only place to get it for retail/DIY/non-commercial use is to go through Fred at Alpha Garage.

GREAT job Scott!! What are the dimension on the garage please? And what would it cost to have on put up today? I guess I could go to Lowe's and get a quote huh! LOL

If/when I retire from active duty my retirement present is going to be a second mortage so I can build a shop for the FREEDOMBIRD...

... my wife has become much too accustomed to parking in the attached sideload over the past couple of years! LMAO
