I think it looked good before, but then again, my car sits high in the rear so what do I know...When I installed the hyperco springs from Tyler's 68 (which sat too high in his car) mine looked like it had a dump in its pants.

Jeff, Bill said the shocks were bolted in the lowest positions before, now with the shorter spring he moved thier mounting positions up.

Good luck Ryan.

Tones, I don't feel bad at all. Stance is very important to me as stupid as it sounds. I did the same with my leafs. They were adjusted a few times before we got them "right"

Ryan it's looking great!
You shouldn't have a hard time with the stance...just show Bill a pic of Red Devil w/ the Fikse's on it and tell him to make your car sit like Mark's....:D

You're going to need around 2.25-2.5" of bump. That would've been the benefit of raising the shock mount, more bump travel at a lower ride height. However, your pinion housing will hit the tunnel before the pumpkin hits the trunk. My car is 24.75 to the crease on the quarter. I can lower mine to around 24.5 but I'd rather have a little extra to play with on the race track. 24.75 gives me 2.5 inches of bump travel and the pinion is about a pinky away from the tunnel at full compression. I'd start at 2" of shock travel and keep an eye on the o rings.

Thanks Anthony, well that's what I tried to do. Unfortunately it's not as simple as that since the G-link doesn't have the clearance to go super low without running into this problem. Bill's going to test drive the car today and see how it is at the current height, if there's an issue he will raise it back up.

Thanks for the measurments Todd, I'll check the numbers once I get it back which should be today.

also make sure your spring is not

too short or it will coil bind on compression.

Looking good on the ground

Hey Steve, car is done and at home. The weather has been gross here for the last couple of weeks so I haven't had a chance to clean the car up and shoot some photos.

The first impression of the drive was that the car rode really well. Nicer than with the leafs for sure. I only drove it a short distance but never really tried any spirited driving as I still have to break in the new rear, new tranny and new clutch. The one thing I did notice is how sticky the tires are. They are kicking up gravel and road grime everywhere. And this was on a pretty cold day. So I'm sure once they warm up they will stick like crazy.

There is a local cruise here on the 27th and there will be a few nice cars out. So I'll get a better impression of everything on that day. And as soon as I clean it up I'll post some pics of the completed project for now :unibrow:

All I know is Radical Rides installed a shorter spring and my travel is now less than the standard kit springs. They may even settle and I'll have to raise it back up. I'll keep you guys posted.

Finally got a nice day, took the car to work. Sorry for the crappy point and shoot pics and the car is filthy. Going to detail it up this weekend.
