That would make a nice desk fountain for adult beverages. Still can't get over how the aero/space industry is alive and well in the car world, that is some cutting edge stuff. I want one.

These rods have a hole laser drilled up the center to oil the wrist pin. The dry sumps were pulling so much vaccum that is was sucking the oil out of the wrist pin and causing motors to blow up.

:wow: Nice stuff ya got there.

Like you said above some of those NASCAR 6 stage pumps create enough vacuum to dry out your bearings so what side the pick up is on kinda doesn't matter.

Before I dyno'd my dinosaur Dailey said to limit my vacuum to 12 or under in the crankcase to eliminate the possibility of drying the bearings.

With that rod set up how much vacuum does Ed think you can safely pull in the crankcase? What kind of ring package is he going to use to max the hp with the vacuum?

Are you going all in with spring oilers in the VCs also?

Ring package

.043, .043, 3.0. Gold top, Napier second, Stainless Steel third. Total Seal. A solid 20 inches of vacuum...quote per Ed

I will be running a 5 stage pump and yes I am doing the valve covers with the spring oilers.

Funny you should say that Greg

Ed is a big Ford guy since he worked for Roush and actually thinks the Ford D3 motor is a little better than the SB2 due to the exhaust port. He has 3 or 4 sets of heads in his shop now...that D3 would be perfect for that little yellow mustang.
