If there's gaps in that undercarriage to mount one or two OEM style tanks for E-85 that would be slick vs a boat (Torino) load of fuel jugs. It would also minimize theft not that it's a problem in Cali.

A trailer would cover it well too but then you're towing and dealing with a trailer. If gross weight becomes an issue the trailer may be the solution though. :sieg:

So I packed up road kit tonight.

A pair of high visibility vests
A reflector/flashlight combo
A small hand held LED flashlight and LED headlight
A first aid kit I usually take with me on my surf trips.
A pair of work gloves Mink oiled for some waterproofing
My Carhart bibs from around the ranch.

I threw all this in my soft tool back loaded with some basic tools (my Pick A Part kit) and threw it in my duffel bag that I'm checking in.

In my carry on I'm taking my Burton Snowboard Jacket, Pants, Gloves and wool socks which I know will keep me dry and warm in the worst of conditions for some time. Even if the Airline loses my duffel I won't freeze.

Of course a Pair of logger boots with Vibram soles (mink oiled by Cheryl, thanks hun) are covering my feet for the first part of the trip.

The first day we hope to get out of Ossipee NH by 1 or 2 and make it to Philly by 8 or 9 that evening.

Anyone feel free to suggest some routes to get there or some places to see in Philly.:headscratch:

It may be in the cards.

We are playing it by ear but we do need to try and make some distance each day so we can complete the trip without having to make more than one marathon driving session.

Don't forget your cell phone chargers --- I have a feeling they'll come in handy.

Ok If you guys need anything when your near Providence area I can give you my cell incase you need something.

So you've planned for 9 days of driving for a trip that takes 10 days (in a truck like this) -- and I figure the truck will be in the shop on day 2 -- for 2 days -- so now you're down to 7 days of driving for a 10 day trip... Then three shop tours takes another day out of there - so now we're down to 6 days of driving for a 10 day trip... 5 days of driving that POS will have you sleep thru half of day 6 because you've had your arses handed to you... so now we're down to 5.5 days to make a 10 day trip...

Just call work and resign... and then kick back and make a trip out of it.
