Front getting dialed in. Lots of slicing and dicing the 51 Caddy bumper to fit just right.

It's this approach to rods of grabbing parts from from different cars that makes them interesting to me. I'd have no idea that was a bumper from a 51 Caddy if you hadn't said something. It looks right at home on the truck.

The new bumper def has character.

Baby steps. 59 Chevy V8 hood emblem or 55-57 GMC hood vent?

Merge the two options?

Use the 59 emblem perimeter w/the vent style insert? Some sort of mesh material as the 'screen'?

I prefer the V8 emblem.

I like the vent, maybe with a more modern screen

Both look good, I lean towards the V8 one.

I Like them both.
Depending on the modifications done the the stock hood to get it to the decision point and what my resources are and as crazy as it might sound, I would do one of each. That way you can change things up a bit and keep people scratching their heads.

I found this picture of a 59 with the gmc vent grafted on. I assume the GMC emblem will go in it and the spears removed.
