You gonna run 100% meth of a mix of water/meth?

Most likely around 70/30 mix.

70..water
30..meth

I sold my 18's awhile ago so its now on my 15" set up so it will be ready for the track!

A great addition or replacement for intercooler.

Your 69 looks all business with the 15s!

Damn. It's been a month since I posted. Time flies when you are swamped with work and stuff I guess! :willy:

We are nearing the end of the final touches I believe - both cosmetic and mechanical changes in order. Getting some body/paint work done on the rear bumper delete and improving some weak areas of the not-so-great paint job I got from the first builder.

Also figured out a vacuum leak was due to the heads and intake not fitting snug - same exact problem that Mike P had on his Stealth Ram setup. So we got the intake or heads (I forget which?) milled a little to make it fit snug. It would have been a problem later anyway and probably resulted in a big boost loss.

And I haven't had time to get up to Sac recently either, so it's partly my fault. Should be getting up there soon as my temporary registration needs to be finalized before 60 days is up! :_paranoid

Nice! Is Mark dyno tuning at the shop (I cant remember the name of it now) ?

fleet 08-08-2009 12:57 PM

If the owner of this rig updated us, maybe even a shot of a valve stem or sumthin'...I'd consider it a personal favor! :unibrow:

Flash68 08-08-2009 01:49 PM

Wow, it has been awhile huh. Gearhead and I have both been a little sidetracked lately with other projects, but once Jason returns from Hot August Nights next week he has said my car is the priority project to get finished now. So we are thinking a week or 2 to get on the road again.

We have pulled a few things apart recently and made some changes/enhancements here and there which should overall make the car better and run and perform better. Improved the steering linkage, upgraded some wiring, and found a couple sealing issues with the intake and plenum that would have been robbing power.

Here is a cosmetic change I decided to go with. Should have more updates and pics in the coming week or so!

Very cool Flash. You must be getting excited. 2 more weeks before it's on the road. Sounds good.

Flash68 08-08-2009 02:28 PM

Thanks, guys. Honestly, the excitement comes and goes.... other things in life taking precedent at times - sometimes good, sometimes not so good.

But yes once I go up there next week and see it in person, like usual, the excitement will definitely be back in full force. :willy:

I haven't watched the show for over a year. I thought I was free of it, but this thread keeps pulling me back in! :_paranoid

Seinfeld is the shiat... Get that car fairly reliable and drive it! You can change it later. Trust me..

Dude, I am trying! We had a little mishap recently and had to take some sh&t apart and once we did that we just started fixing and upgrading other stuff. The hood isn't slowing anything down - just something to do while the mechanical and electrical go all back together. Should be ready to burn some rubber soon. :woot:

Likely you've read that one definition of insanity is a person who does the same thing over and over but expects different results.

Thought: Maybe I shouldn't watch the same show over and over, NOT expecting different results!

Not that there's anything not wrong with that...

Poor Jason and the crew had a hell of a time getting to Reno... Hopefully the return trip will go without incident.

Glad things are moving along Dave, I had my motor rebuilt.....long story I will tell you later. I have it back now, and will need to get it back for a little more tuning. Hope to see yours running soon so you can take me for ride.

Oh no, you too?! Dammit. Sorry to hear Mike.

MattO 08-10-2009 08:52 PM

From what I'm told by my old roomy who was riding shotgun with Jason, the Camaro shredded a belt and then the car they had ont he trailer started having issues too. They were stuck in a little spec on the map town for a couple hours while both cars were trailered to Reno.

Jason may be able to elaborate. I don't want egg on my face... :captain:
