Kevin and the guys at M2K got the charge pipe made and made absolutely sure it's level and symmetric! Cant express how happy I am with the work they're doing on this car!

Turbo kit is so badass. M2K is doing a great job, as expected. Can't wait to see you crest 200 mph in this bad boy.

Thanks, I agree M2K is doing this stuff perfectly and keeping me updated at every step!

We'll see about cresting 200mph. It'll be a little bit but it'll have the power to push it there!

That looks nice in there, I love seeing an engine bay with the turbo tubing.

Downpipe Updates. M2K knows fab work pretty damn well.

Sadly for the BOV, i cant put it where I really wanted it. I wanted it on the end of the charge pipe to mimic the WG placement. I also cant put them in the middle as there isn't room between the charge pipe and the radiator... I just told them to put it where they thought it would look best. We'll see how it turns out!

Part two of the downpipes. Passenger side getting knocked out.

I think the fit to the floor is quite nice.

Thanks. Can't wait to get it home and finish it. M2K Motorsports is killing it on the turbo kit. Couldn't be happier.

Are you going to atmospherically vent your WG? I keep going back and forth with mine.

M2k did an amazing job,it looks so clean.

I am not. It will be put into the downpipe. Open WG are ok on race cars. I think street car would get annoying.

Agreed. They're awesome and Kevin (owner/fabricator) is as honest as it gets.

Very nicely done!

Few updates. Wastegate dump is done.

And this is the start of where the filter will be. This is just behind the headlight. Should be plenty of fresh air in there.
http://i.imgur.com/V8anP83.jpg

Hoping for more progress soon. Should be competing the kit early next week.

randy 11-08-2015 04:18 PM

I made a set of those fender close out panels also. Couldn't believe how simple they were. Maybe if i can figure out a way to scan the template Ill post for everyone else to make. Mine uses the little hole in the fender and secured on the bottom.

Let me know what trim you might put around the edge of it to stop them from rattling on the inner fender

Spiffav8 11-08-2015 05:04 PM

Nice! Oddly I was just talking to a couple guys about this over the weekend.

will69camaro 11-08-2015 07:27 PM

Yea GAP racing has made some for stock style core support and attaches at the top. They look excellent. I'll let you know what I end up using for trim if necessary.

the closeout panels use a nice trim piece. If we can get that exact trim it would be perfect

And did a clearance check on driveshaft to x-pipe. Looks like it'll have to jump the car to get it contact between the two.

Will your doing an incredible job! It must be nerve racking working around a freshly painted car.

will69camaro 11-15-2015 05:37 PM

Sadly the paint job wasn't great to begin with. Long story that I'm trying to forget. It's got a few nicks on the way. I'll have it touched up once complete.

A full paint job I'm sure is in this cars future. I plan to beat on the car a bit first.

streetbird 11-16-2015 11:32 AM

Very nice turbo setup

lsuguy 11-16-2015 01:48 PM

Great looking ride man. I have been watching this one on Instagram as well.

I may have overlooked it but how much boost and what kind of power levels you going for?

Ah excellent.

Power. We'll see what it takes but I figure on kill 20+psi and 11-1200.

Pump gas should be around 15 and 1000.

will69camaro 01-11-2016 08:09 AM

I got a little done and car is "progressing" as best it can. Decided to say screw it and get the firewall finished so some deconstruction was involved.

How the car started out. As you can see firewall above brake reservoirs is questionable...
http://i.imgur.com/qpIi5Gj.jpg

Started the teardown and pulled the turbo kit off completely.
http://i.imgur.com/7ICkY98.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/KAUb8dH.jpg

With the turbo kit out of the way, the core support was pulled and the motor/transmission was pulled as a single unit.

Had some expert help that day with the twins (Big Bronco and Hellraiser)
http://i.imgur.com/SMSCClg.jpg

Even had a supervisor.

Fenders removed and car put back on the ground to be sent to paint shop to have firewall finished/fixed.

Painter already did all the work to the car (since last Sunday). He gave me a deadline of this upcoming Sunday 1/10 to be finished (so i figured a good month there).

Wiring is my daunting task next. I have a new DSE dash coming and a racepak and looking at mil spec (deutsch) connector options.

Well...That was faster than expected. Painter had the car 3 days...

Took some doing solo to get the motor in and NOT touch the firewall...

PLENTY of room in there now!

Motor back out and waiting to be put on a stand so I can get the pan installed properly and do some checks (pushrods) and start the wiring.
