still cant get it too work. ive tried about a dozen different ways. the one pic a page back, worked, but wont any more. when i right click on the open pic, it does not say "copy image url" anywhere, nor at the icon in lower right (which wasnt there til i figured certain galleries have to be public.) That icon, when clicked, sends me to "pic size" before allowing me to copy. I tried copying the image to no avail. Also tried with the "mountain" icon on the reply (here) screen and putting between the irl's, stll nothing, only a link.

I think i got it, there is a third column labeled BBCODE , click there, copy, paste here, no need for the icon in "reply".......

Mike --- Here's why I rarely visit Lat g anymore --- because I hate wasting my time. And I've "over" having to load pics on somebody else's site just so I can load pictures here. Thus -- I just don't bother.

If and when I want to load a picture here ---- I first drag the photo to my desktop -- then I open it and "resize it" since it won't post in it's normally saved size -- I select the "1920 X 1080" in the drop down menu labeled "custom" -- Then I need to SAVE the resized photo -- then once I have gone thru all that BS -- I then use the "paper clip" icon on the thread post I'm working on -- and I use that popup window to find the resized photo I saved to the desktop -- I select the photo - choose "upload" - once it's uploaded -- I then (in that same window) drag the "address" that has now appeared (in blue) to the post..... and the picture then appears.

All of the above BS is why you won't see me posting pics of anything I'm building here anymore. Way too much of a waste of my time just to share with my friends.

glassman 09-17-2017 09:27 AM

yes, it was a pain in the butt. But, i learned something and i'm somewhat of a computer rookie.
Other things to do instead of "mastering the computer"
Also, met some good people thru the forums (excluding you and charlie :) )....so i've got that going for me lol

Off to go mountain biking...

SmugMug is $48 a year, I know that's big coin for ya but it makes posting simple and secure.

Just do it........... https://secure.smugmug.com/signup?Coupon=achuJuglTx7pQ

SSLance 09-18-2017 04:58 AM

What I do is right click the image I want to share in smugmug and left click open in new tab. Once pic is open in new tab I just copy the url and paste it with [img] tags here.

Goes quick once you get used to it, no resizing necessary.

Car looks great!!! Now, go drive it somewhere!!

Greg, will you be at GGs in Dallas? If so, I'll see ya there.

Well.... Yes and No. We arrive there (Fort Worth) on the 28th and I fly out on the 29th.
You should come down to Austin (Andice, TX) for our stop at CHRA - where we all get to see the '40 Ford P/U (amongst all the other cool cars and stuff). They should have some spray outs for me to approve.

SSLance 09-18-2017 06:21 AM

I'm driving down Wednesday the 27th, will get to hotel close to track late in evening. All day Thursday the 28th I'm in Sutton's workshop then have Thursday evening and all day Friday to fart around before heading home Sat morning.

I could only get the one night (28th) at the hotel across the street from the track where the show is - The Marriot. I don't much care for car shows to begin with - and after driving for days - will be happy just to head out rather than trying to find some other hotel to stay at etc.

I'll get my fill of Sutton (LOL) when we're walking the PRI show in Indianapolis in December.

SSLance 09-18-2017 06:50 AM

Well, text me when you get into the Marriott and we'll at least meet for a bit to shake hands commiserate... :D

Actually Mike aka 'Big Dawg' Glassman, other than running it thru the IOS image enhancer, and loading it on to the FREE www.postimg.org, which is free, (which must have resized it)....for FREE.

Brushed centers with a polished lip is always a win.

sorry, missed this. The glass is OEM Pilkington classics (they bought LOF years ago which was OEM on ford and gm and back and forth)

the primer/paint around the glass is a 3M product and the rubber weather strip is a generic Steele Rubber one and i flipped it upside down for that look.

glassman 07-18-2018 01:52 PM

A few cosemetic upgrades. Wheels, engine detail (while i was in a splint recovering from a broken knee, can only sit for so long right?) and my rear seat delete becoming a "luggage" shelf with a couple of compartments.

thanx, pretty stoked with it at this point. I turned it into a "protouring" rather than a track beast, but i'm dying to get back out there on the trac. Now that its almost sorted out of phase III, i'll be able to get a couple of trac days in once time permits.....

I can't wait to see how this turns out as I love the idea and I love direction you are going. The way it looks you are almost going Singer Style.
