It's kind of weird when you call over there. They answered every time I called, but it was so laid back the way they answered the phone I wondered if I was actually calling a business. Whomever it was that I talked to just seemed like they could care less if I ever got the parts or not. They where straight with me and even offered to drive the parts over to Jims work, just super chill. Lesson learned...order four months in advance.

I have a lot of his parts on my car. My front turn/marker lights came and one was damaged couldn't get a answer on how to get a new one to save my soul! I wasn't looking to get a new one for free made it very clear I would pay for it. Finally had to give up. As I said his parts are great but that's where it ends. I have had great service from Fesler and no problems!!

I hate to hear that. He could have owned the market.

Hi Curtis.

Hi Curtis, I know I'm just going to sound like a broken record. 😊 The car just looks quality, beautiful gaps, nice straight crisp lines. Can't wait to see her in color and going back together. Beautiful Job!!! Cheers Trevor.

Not sure what I enjoy more. The pics of the awesome workmanship or the messy shop. I enjoy keeping a messy shop and thought I was the only one...

Messy shop? You guys have really high standards. Was it the coffee mug that qualified it?

The comment was meant to be positive. It's refreshing to see pics of a working shop where a guy is busting his butt doing great work. Sorry if anyone took it to be negative.

Nah, probably just me. I left the smiley off the end of my sentence. I've seen some seriously sanitary shops that made me think this one was being considered messy by some. Great work coming out of that joint no matter what!!

Thanks Guys. I feel like I am posting the same photos over and over, but it's part of the process and it's fun to share the adventure.

Funny that this came up. Jim actually mentioned that the place is a mess and he needs to clean up a bit. He's out of place in a way. There is another car sitting in his shop waiting on parts. Concourse restoration kinda thing. So he's working on my car in his paint booth! Looks like a lot has been drug in there and isn't being kept in it's normal place. End result is all that matters.

That's the idea...right. It will be the same when it get's home. A little everyday and before long it's ready to go.

Starting to narrow down the final color. I am happy to say that I am no longer :EmoteClueless: when it comes to the color...just the exact shade of that color. :confused18: Silver, just which silver is the question. Here's a few spray outs Jim did for me. Just to start getting an idea. He says he will do some bigger and better ones before we finalize.

https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-...-Kb9zrtf-L.jpg

Jim has also started the "Black Primer" phase. This stage will show imperfections pretty quick. Based on how the light sits, it's looking pretty good to me and I really dig how the lines from the light reflection jumps the gaps. Pretty sure that's a good thing.

Good! Glad someone other than me in getting some enjoyment out of all of these. I've learned a lot about the process for sure. Way more to it than I thought.

Right! WAY more than I expected! :faint: Not complaining one bit though. Jim seems to be having fun with the car and that's a huge plus.

Jim finished getting the car into the Black Primer and sent these photos for my daily fix.

Enjoy! :captain:

Hi Curtis.

Hi Curtis. The car looks Awesome mate. Tell Jim the one thing missing from the shop photo's is a bunch of empty stubbies ( beer bottles) scattered about the floor. lol 😀 Cheers Trevor.

Normally the public doesn't get to see progress pics of Ridler contenders.

New policy?

:twak: Are you crazy!? Pretty sure he's got a steady flow of Red Bull and Coffee flowing. No way he should change anything he does. It might change things and right now...everything is going very well.

Spiffav8 02-09-2016 11:58 AM

A few days ago I received some pictures from Jim showing me how poorly my rear spoiler fit. Problem was that the current one didn't fit anywhere close to right and even if Jim worked it over, it still had a strange off center bow in the leading edge when viewed from above. Rather than put a boat load of time into another crappy repo one, I bit the bullet and ordered an NOS one. It wasn't cheap and I REALLY hated buying it.

Jim sent this to let me know the NOS part had arrived and at first glance my heart sank, thinking it had been damaged in shipping. Took a moment to realize that masking tape looks 30 years old. Sucker had better fit perfectly!

I also received a couple pictures of Spray Outs for two of the colors on my list. Jim is nice enough to mail those out to me. I keep saying it and I do mean it.....I'm getting there.

X2 Darker:thankyou:

Flash68 02-09-2016 03:18 PM

I was gonna say the lighter one cuz 4 out of 5 people use the darker one :peepwall:

See, isn't this helpful!?

GregWeld 02-09-2016 03:44 PM

If it was mine I'd choose the darker -- but I like both of them....

KPC67 02-09-2016 04:01 PM

haha ^^^

Curtis, I have been following this discretely and just wanted to help out like the rest of the guys! I say lighter....:bitchslap:

Either one will look great. With the attention to detail Jim has given this thing and the insanely cool parts you have going into it, it is destined to be bad ass!

paulk68 02-09-2016 05:07 PM

I don't know after seeing that black primer on it I say BLACK!!

Lenie 02-09-2016 06:59 PM

Curtis, you know what they say about once you go dark :poke: I'd go dark, cars looking great.

Penny 02-09-2016 09:59 PM
