Gorgeous! I'm glad you're able to keep going on this one. I love seeing it come together.

Nice work!
Do you use a drill or a punch for the Cleco's? |

Hi everyone. I know it's been a while since I've added an update on here. I have been making slow progress on the car but that is turning into more normal progress as I was trying to finish a truck I built and that is now sold and gone.
I have been working on multiple design aspects including door hinges, custom-made collapsable steering column, upgraded front suspension, and tubular rear control arms. at the same time, I have been working on solidifying the floor structure to get the foundation ready for inner body structure. here are some pics. https://photos.smugmug.com/Project-r..._141502-X2.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/Project-r..._133521-X2.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/Project-r..._130149-X2.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/Project-r..._152054-X2.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/Project-r..._160252-X2.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/Project-r..._092105-X2.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/Project-r..._120458-X2.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/Project-r..._120507-X2.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/Project-r..._120519-X2.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/Project-r..._165832-X2.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/Project-r..._165842-X2.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/Project-r..._092730-X2.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/Project-r..._092739-X2.jpg |
These are mock-up hinges I designed and had 3d printed so I can finalize the design before having the hinges machined out of aluminum.

Ruptured Duck
Many of you have been following the Duck build since its conception and have supported me in a variety of different ways. Most of you have seen over the last few months I recently opened my shop, PRD Design. Well, business is doing great with customers that I couldn't be happier to be working with, and believe it or not, that isn't the best thing that has happened over the last year. My wife brought our beautiful baby girl into this world last November, and with that, I feel like the most blessed man on the planet.
Between striving to be a good Dad and Husband and owning a shop, my time for my personal projects is basically zero. Unpaid free time to continue on the car is not a luxury I will likely have for many years, so with that said, I have decided to put the opportunity out there for a potential partnership with the right client to get the Duck done sooner than later. There are many details to discuss but in a nutshell, what I am offering is an investment in the Duck to help me see it to completion and then onto the sale of the car leading to the donation to the Homes For Our Troops charity. OR purchase the project with the agreement to see it finished and donate to HFOT charity. Again, a lot to unwrap there, but if you have any interest, please feel free to call the shop at 641.619.5859, and we can discuss it further from there. Sincerely, Brycen Smith https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-...2rhkDvQ-X2.jpg |
Congrats on the new addition to the family, Brycen! Really hope someone out there will help you see Ruptured Duck to completion soon.

All I can say is WOW!!
