I think the Dutchboys have it another week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
You're gettin' pretty fancy with those gauges (look great)...what's next, a custom interior?

The car is going to be killer (like all your builds). Was wondering if you run a remote solenoid in the trunk or a Mega fuse to protect the heavy gauge wire running to the front of the car/starter??
|
Updates ???????

I run a master battery disconnect in the trunks next to the battery. I’ve never fused the large power cable from the battery to the front of the car. In practice it would be a good idea. Not sure of the best way to do it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The engine is ready to go! I cleaned up the GM crate wiring harness and added the circuits I needed. Re-loomed the harness. The engine and trans are ready to go in. The car is supposed to be back from the Dutchboys Friday of this week. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...fbc8d90a16.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...e13ffe0b3c.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d1eb1a54ae.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c8b3b59ed6.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...2e95943d7d.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Something like this might be very easy to install. https://www.waytekwire.com/item/4559...-Mega-Starter/ https://www.waytekwire.com/datasheet/LiveWire_45624.pdf Andrew |

Very nice, Mark. Glad it's out of the body shop.
|
Looks great. Now you can take your time assembling it since SEMA has been cancelled this year.
Really looking forward to those assembly pics! |
love it
simple and clean but with a lot of small details It can't done better than this |
|
Sa weet !!!!!!

Wow neat and clean you gotta love those Dutchboys! Mark what size intake tube do you use?
|
What size tires are you running on this one?
|
Quote:
The induction tube is 4.5 inches. A LT5 has a 95 mm throttle body vs a 90 on a LS7 TB. The 4.5 inch tube worked well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

275 front and 335 rears on 18s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It seems you run those same sizes on all your builds. Just wondering, did you eventually land on those sizes after trial and error with different sizes to achieve some desired dynamics? Do you find that the cars tend to understeer with the 275 front? Have you experimented with different sizes? |
Quote:
Hellfire had 315s on the fronts, that required Anvil flared front fenders. With stock sheet metal and DSE front sub frame a 275 is about the limit on a 10 inch rim. You can balance the car well with this set up. Mark Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

With it fits under the stock profile of a 1969 Camaro without the structure under the hood. I use a Carbon hood off my molds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Just flat out amazing....... Each build improving on the last. OEM components and fitment...........but tweaked WAY beyond factory specs.
You really set the bar high Mark. Very nice job to you and your team of supporters, and thanks for sharing the pics and details |
Your builds are getting to the point of being too nice to drive..... LOL !!!!!!

Phenomenal.............just freakin phenomenal. I don't care what your are building or restoring........one needs to take lesson and inspiration to these builds.

Just wondering - have you mentioned what gear ratios your going with on this one? Any info on the third member you selected?
Thanks again! |

I’m running a 3.50 ratio with a Tremec Magnum with a 2.66 first gear. I ran a similar set up with my LT4 and it worked well. The 3rd member is a GearFX Ford 9 inch the Ford gear is micropolished and run in on their dyno. If you can find a real Ford gear I’ve had the best luck with them for noise.
