Looks great Lenie! Glad the headers arrived and the oval transition is perfect...

Oh and post a vid when that bad boy is running :D

geberhard 06-11-2012 08:55 AM

Lenie!! Looking great! Can you shoot more pics of your trunk area? I need some ideas for my vert (tight space) so planning to fit bat and tank as well, your setup looks very clean. What size tank is that?

Thanks!

Gui

Thanks Ron, appreciate it. From the back of the x-pipe I'm going round so I can tuck it in the tunnel. I've got Brett Anderson helping w/the car now and he's an upfront good guy.

Thanks Gui, I'll try and get a few more pics for you. The tank is a 5 gallon dual compressor from ridetech, I bought the cover with it but my shock towers have been raised so there's no room for the cover but everything else fit really good, Brett's idea again.

Rybar 06-11-2012 10:52 AM

That exhaust looks killer. Nice job Lenie

waynieZ 06-11-2012 11:37 AM

Headers and exhaust look good in there Lenie. Nice progress.

I had the pleasure of meeting Brett a couple of years ago. Good guy and very talented (by his past work) so I'm sure you're in very good hands...

Ask him to design a subframe for you :D

Thanks all. Yeah Ron, Brett's a good guy, I believe the subframe he built for his camaro was tucked up into the body 2" and was 5" off the ground at ride height while being lowered to the top of the wheels. Pretty cool. Way to late for this project!

Lenie 06-19-2012 07:07 PM

Fingers are crossed, looking like tomorrow.

Lenie 06-19-2012 07:11 PM

Question for any of you following this build. Exhaust is installed from headers back, hopefully tomorrow we're going to fire up the motor, after that I'm going to remove the system, finish welding it, then have it completely coated. Instead of coating it silver, I'm contemplating having it coated satin black headers and all.
What do you all think, Silver or Black?

Ron in SoCal 06-19-2012 07:21 PM

Asthetically...I prefer the contrast of silver Lenie. But, do what ever make you happy Bro...

I'd need to know more about the look you are going for under the hood.

I'm curious as to how your mounting your amps? I have the same 450/4 and I have a 500/1. I'm far from mounting mine, but am curious as to what you are doing.

GregWeld 07-14-2012 08:50 AM

Well........ We're waiting!

Haha! Well your closer to getting them installed then I am, so I wait patiently to see what you come up with. Your AirRide tank is something I don't have, so I'm sure you'll come up with something different than I have in mind

Lenie 07-24-2012 12:14 PM

So now I'm pretty stoked.. Have a couple of really good guys working on the car (Brett Anderson and Adam Brown). Went over to see the car last night, wiring all in, vintage air all hook up and blowing hard, airrides all installed and working, door poppers are in and working, power windows in and working, header and exhaust in and looks sweet..absolutely nothing hangs below the front clip, VHX gauges in and looks great, radiator fans, all lights and running lights work perfect and look good in the modified valance. Love the stance when car is dropped, currently tying up loose ends and installing stereo set up, all lubrications are in.. I should be doing interior in a couple of weeks. Oh did I mention they fired it up for me yesterday:thumbsup: These two guys are the shiiiitz and doing me good! Like I said, stoked.

Dude! I HATE sitting around car shows... B O R I N G to the max.... Plus I've got stuff to do on the Rudymobile -- and it's a short week with hauling the track car to California so Charley and I can play at the Shelby Mini Nats.

Need to do a little clean up but shot a few updated pictures. First I just wanted to say thanks to these two (Brett Andersen and Adam Brown). It was refreshing having them work on my car. Very professional/ambitious young men I'm now happy to call friends.

Headers and exhaust are coated and installed. Here's a couple of pics shot straight across the bottom of the front clip and back of the car, notice absolutely nothing hangs below the rails of the clip.

The gauges and AC controls are great but seriously where are the pictures of the wheels. You know what wheels I'm talking about.:D

The exhaust looks sweet, attention to detail like that always makes a difference.
