Okay --- The motor (LS3) was built by Don Hardy / Don Hardy Junior --- the father and son team "EX" drag racing legend...

http://www.hotrod.com/thehistoryof/113_0205_don_hardy/

It has a "extremely" restrictive intake and shorty little tube headers. The motor WAS NOT BUILT to make a bunch of crazy ass horsepower but rather - be very drivable for my darling bride. The car weighs in a exactly 2975 pounds so doesn't require too much to get it scootin' right along.... just ask Chris Gonzales.... HAHAHAHAHAHA

This was the only power pull I videoed ---- and the blue smoke was due to it being PIG FAT.... that all cleared right up in subsequent pulls. Advanced Motor Performance did the tuning --- and they only work on big HP LS stuff.... like 1500 twin turbo Vettes -- and several 750 to 900 hp late model Camaro's and CTS V's.... that's all they had in their shop. AMP is located in Arlington Texas....

The fans made more HP than the car did..... LOL

I was VERY impressed with Sam - the tuner and partner in this speed shop!

I don't impress easily....

No you didn't. I purposely didn't publish them. Only the losers will see the result if they line up next to it...

Let's put it this way. It's very quick.

A WORLD of difference in running and the sound even changed.

As I told "Sam" ---- "dude! It's lazy and my guess is it's pig fat"....... OH YEAH --- it was pig fat -- and it ain't lazy now. Nice torque right off idle... rev's very quickly.

He also tuned the transmission to the drivetrain/gears/tall tires.... put the lockup to kick in at 50 MPH. Nice difference in holding the car in 3rd gear under that. Much mo snappy. But not stupid... My '32 gets a little stupid quick in the lower gears -- but it's running 4:30 rear gears and a 5 speed and the 8 stack... which is very quick throttle response.

If we'd left room for a "performance" intake and put some real headers on this one --- and changed the rear end gearing (it now has 3:57) it'd be scary. I don't want scary for Gwen. Quick and sporty is okay... and it's very linear.

Sweet music, I'm now looking for an LS to put into my 75 chev van to use as an everyday spring and summer driver. Love the car and the sound of that dyno run doesn't get any better.
