A "little 565" with FAST EFI .Yeah, I'm in the minority, but a 70 Chevelle just HAS to have a BBC in it, or it isn't a '70 Chevelle! Just my biased, uneducated opinion. Besides, a heavy front nose will make going around corners at 60+ mph interesting...

Attachment 33651 Attachment 33652 Attachment 33653 For me it was a hard choice between an LS and SBC. I fell in love with the Inglese and they don't have a manifold for the LS yet. The engine dyno'd at 565hp. I probably lost 50hp-80hp by going with an SBC over an LS but I have a simpler system to maintain and also keep the build with a more traditional/historical appearance.
