Looks like we have alot of room.. but when we install the aprons.. we start filling up the engine compartment..
The LS engine in this build will make this car perform as the owner wants it too & easy to service.. The goal is for Nick to attend all the events with his dad.. go to driving school.. have fun! In the end .. we want a car that can be upgraded as easy as possible.. The LS engine does that.. Quote:

When I had to give up my custom foundation for the car.. I was bummed.. but the owner gave me something in return to build for the Mustangs that I can use in the future..
Here is the suspension we have been working on for the last 6 weeks.. This has been a very time consuming process.. But my goal from now on is to build a car @ the wheels & the stance that me & the owner want.. Currently were are working on jig design for control arms & begin machining all components for control arms.. We will build one chassis to proof all of suspension geomerty.. then build the final one for the car... The first prototype will be for Camaro.. Which I have about four of them waiting for new sub-frames.. Big investment of time & design for JCG.. but now I will have control of things being done my way in the future.. C6 Corvette Geomerty with 4th gen F body lower control arm arm placement.. http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...hassisLatG.jpg http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...ustangLatG.jpg |

Hey Cris,
Did you push the firewall back to make the pedals more comfortable for the driver? Also which master cylinders are those? I am running into some issues with pedal placement in my camaro and was debating on pushing my firewall back to move the pedals back or just putting the master cylinders inside and then running a remote line through the firewall to reservoirs. Thanks! Car looks awesome though! |
Great update Cris. Looking good.

Yes.. We pushed back the firewall but for the purpose of getting the engine back as far as we could... The pedals did end up moving back about 1 inch..
The pedal base & M/C are Wilwood .. Thanks for the props! Quote:

We need to start building rear frame rails but needed to find out how big of a tire could fit in the back with maintaining the the rear fold down seat.. So.. it was time to stretch the car.. We have pulled it about 2 inches per side without losing the look of the car...
We fab'ed some jigs to maintain a even stectch on the car & here are some of the results so far.. She's got some hips now! http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_2048.jpg http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_2047.jpg http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_2050.jpg http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_2051.jpg http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_2049.jpg Also got some more work going on in the engine bay! http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_2058.jpg |
Let's start a bet
I say 12.5" |
We managed to get 15.5 inches of wheel tub space with the stetch & a small mini tub.. the 335-30-19 should fit with no problem!
