syborg tt: Talk about detail, your truck is full of it! Do you have another project in the works?
Thank you - we lost control on that project. Currently I am working on a 70 Camaro. Not going as crazy on this project. The plan is to drive this one or at least keep it and give it to my girls when they turn 16.

Looking great!

I knew those where out of a Grand Prix - I had a '99 GTP for a number of years.

I kind of miss it but alas LS v8 > L67 v6 haha.

What did you do for suspension front and rear? LOVE the stance!! I have a 63 Nova SS that I want to lower as much as possible. What did you do for steering? What are your wheel and tire sizes?
Michael

Front: 16x7 wheels with 205-50-16's
Classic Performance 2" drop spindles and tubular A-arms. Stock steering. Front springs are stock length 6 cyl springs.

Rear: 17x9.5 wheels with 275-50-17's
Mini tubbed out to frame rails. Mono leaf springs moved in. Frame rails narrowed for tire clearance. Narrowed rear end with Moser axles.

That's a general description. Sure can give any more details if you need.
Thanks for the comments!

Good to meet you in KC! Your '72 was sweet looking and smoking on the autocross!

Here's the color codes I used in the engine compartment.
Dark Argent Metallic is 1997-2011 GM code WA8945. BASF stock #166509.
Ultra Flat Clear is BASF DC5775.

Met the goal in making it to Kansas City Good Guys over Labor Day weekend.
:goodguys:
Finished at 11pm Thursday night and left Friday morning.

Pretty much stayed "On Target" towards original intent of balancing "level of build, ability, time in the shop, with family, and $ input"

Level of build: did add some extra there in level of finish work.
Ability: Gained a lot of understanding/respect in what it takes to get the body fairly straight.
Time in the shop: Over ran budget on that one.
$ input: Resisted several temptations to buy and upgrade more. Instead stayed on target by working with what I had and being content there.
With family: Well, did make it to most of the family activities. If I think I did well here, it was because of my wife's patience during the project.

Then to top it all off at the end finishing up - I FORGOT MY WIFE'S BIRTHDAY on Labor Day. Enough said. LOVE YOU HONEY! Let's go out for a ride in "our" Chevy II.

amazing attention to detail.

How did the AC and insulation work? I might have to go back and add the foam you have on top to mine.
