We are just waiting

on you Ron. Once that LS7 is out, just need a few measurements.

20 inches... yowzers. You gonna run that high of vacuum on the track and street or think you might try to regulate it?

Ed is a Ford guy? what a shame. LOL

I am relying on his expertise

If he tells me that is where I need to be, then I am going to run with it.

I am not going to be turning crazy R's on the street, so I cannot imagine it will be anywhere close to that just riding around.

And I have never used banjo fittings on a pan like that. I have to say that is pretty slick on the NASCAR teams' usage, nice and tight packaging and I may have to reconsider doing something like that. Coming off of my current pan with even a 90 deg fitting takes a lot of space to sweep out when I am really just trying to come forward to the pump. I guess it just never popped into my head that they would work for that - they are obvious for brake lines but didn't consider scavenging with them. The screen on the end of the banjo bolt is great too.

I still think you are dreaming the end car will be street legal!!

Oh but that is the best part! :rules:

The bungs on the bottom

give access to the oil pan bolts, the pan has an internal rail.

The fittings are a banjo style but they snap on and do not have a bolt through them, very slick stuff. I would try and get them used as new ones are very expensive.

Still planning on it being street legal not because it will be. The lexan pretty much throws it out, but I can get it to pass inspection once, I am good to go. In NC with older cars, one inspection and they are good for life. I do think it will be silly trying to run street tires on the thing but I will not know until I try it.

Since we are talking/writing about

the car being street legal. Here is the AP Racing NASCAR pedal box I picked up. Per NASCAR rules the masters must be on the firewall and not in the car and the brake pedal must be steel. This system is the only one I know of that takes a pull type master. The "cage" holds one end of the master and the pedal pulls the rod...No side load with this set-up that can happen with a push type master.
