I can tell you have really thought this car out very well. In many ways, finishing a car in todays enviroment is a huge advantage. I really think protouring is in it's prime.

Thx Bro. LS motors are such a learning curve. It'll never have the low end torque to HP you'd see out of a big block. But this one's built for low/mid range to build r's coming out of the corner. If I get 550 to the wheels with an early/flat torque curve I think I accomplished my goal.

Dude, seem to have somehow missed your thread ----I have been busy with life for the past 6 months---have not had much in the way of time to spend online. Color is awesome--you guys have way too much money these days. Is Greg Weld sponsoring all of you guys or what?

What's the first event we will see you and the car at--if you had to guess? Congrads on all of your progress---and sorry to hear about you knee surgery.

Hey Dougie - gonna miss you at SEMA. How are all those Optima cars gonna get parked for the photo shoot? :D Appreciate the comments. The car will hopefully be done sometime early next year. Still too early to predict, but I hate sitting on the sidelines at RTTC. Twice was enough...

Ron --- I'm sure it's posted somewhere but figured it's faster to just ask...

Hey Greg - it's a PPG Ferarri factory color...Griggio Silverstone. Sounds a little upper crust for guys like you and me...haha

Assembly is something I am/was really looking forward to after the car came home. But watching all the killer work on Blue Balls I really wanted Cris to do my plumbing and that's where it started. Some of the mods require assembly to get it right so hopefully he'll leave a little bit for me to do! Blue Balls also got me to rethink my ride height - not too low, but it may take some fab we think. We'll get some drivetrain weight in the car and see where it goes. He'll also cut my tranny tunnel so we can drop my engine in and get my pinion angle correct. He's also gonna weld my DSE rollbar and a few other tidbits.

Jason, was looking for you there and it was a blast! This intake is made more for drag racing I think. It sucks so much air, the RMP range starts at 4500 - maybe more! I told the guy I'd be his mule. He didn't bite...

Talked to the same guy Ron....though the LS7 runner would be too short for your application, he could configure the LS3 manifold to fit. Just sayin...:unibrow:

It sucks when plan A gets fumbled but the new hood and the repaint are a drop in the bugget for this build. Every other part on this car is top notch. I say go for it!!

Eric's correct. I am sticking to the plan! Cris decided to tear the front off to protect the paint with all the welding and cutting going on. We are also masking w 3m weld paper. There are parts of the paint that needs a little fixin' and we think there'll be cut/buff before it comes back home. Thx for the props Gae!
