Brent,
What penance will you perform for no update for over a year? :rules: |

Well.. Once again... The dust gets blown of this thread... Although I haven't posted much in a long time... Still been moving forward... It's officially off to paint!! Curtis' car finally got wrapped up so mine was next in line... And yes... Jim (Painter) has quite the sense of humor... The parking sign was out front when I rolled up... We're just a few years late.... But hey... We're finally on to the next chapter...... Attachment 64748Attachment 64749Attachment 64750

Looking forward to seeing more of it Brent... |
Congrats, Brent. That's a major milestone to reach. Some days I questions if I'll ever make it. Better late than never. Still sticking with the same color scheme? You gotta post pics when it's in color.
|
Thats fantastic Brent!! cant wait to see it painted.
|
Great news Brent!
|
sweeet! Can't wait to see it move into the next stage!
|
You'll certainly be up for a "Dust Buster of the Year" award...... or Decade. :D

That sign was hysterical..... Love that it's going to paint Brent. Now sign up for the Hall of Fame Tour 2020 and come have some fun with us. |

In between then (when I dropped it off at Jim's for paint) and now my son and I built a 68 Camaro (Project Memory Maker.. which Jim also painted). Between that and life itself for both myself and Jim the 55 stalled for a bit. I've been very quiet about it but we've still been plugging away on it and it's back and rolling hard. Bodywork is 100% done. Currently the car is blown apart and on the dolly. Wrapping up the underside and will be sprayed in Raptor liner. I've had the chassis for a couple months wrapping up some loose ends on that... Pics are just random to show where we are at this point. #nevercountmeout [emoji41] https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d3724f01b0.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...2ca3ddc443.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...cc03eb0135.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...eaa7883986.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6a839be0c9.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6bd7a22c3d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...549e3bfbfb.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...767e16bf58.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...70907e531b.jpg |

I have been on many sites and have seen Greg Weld's many posts. What happened to him? Also, other than a great guy posting his knowledge and great builds, who is he? Sorry if I am out of the "know."

When I saw you finally posted an update I was well kinda in shock and I guess me poking the Bear finally made you post an update. The car looks great and I can't wait to see more pictures.

Refresher on the motor... I bought this motor from Shaver Racing. It's a 502 short block, 9.5-1, balanced, blue printed, mild Isky Roller, Pro Topline Heads and Hogan Intake. Very docile in comparison of what others are doing. Made 586 hp and 602 ft lbs torque. Been sitting so long my son and I decided to tear it down, clean it up and put it back together. Spent some time tuning up the intake before sending it out for powder coating. Rounding corners and making a nice intake a little better. Time to move onto the motor. Polish the entire block....... Attachment 77525Attachment 77526Attachment 77527Attachment 77528Attachment 77529Attachment 77530

585 hp ! That’s all? That’s almost bottom of the ladder stuff, 700 sounds better! Sure Jody can help make that happen, what’s a few more $$$$$!!😂😂😂🥳🥳…TURBO!! TURBO!! 😂😂.

After a fair amount of grinding and smoothing got everything sent off to powder coating... Everything is going Satin black except the wheel centers. Those will be going Titanium with a satin clear. Inside hoops will be going Satin black and the outside hoops will remain polished to blend with all of the factory bright work.
