Chassis Dyno Number
I'm no chassis dyno guy so here are the numbers from a quick pull. Joe said these were good numbers because he had a twin turbo 427 on the dyno last week that made 525 HP. That car went low 10's.
We dynoed another LS9 with the same engine cal on an engine dyo and got these number. RPM STPTrq STPPwr 2800 598.6 319.3 2900 604.5 333.9 3000 613.7 350.7 3100 618.8 365.4 3200 621.9 379.1 3300 628.3 394.9 3400 630.2 408.1 3500 635.6 423.7 3600 639.1 438.2 3700 647.9 456.6 3800 652.5 472.3 3900 656.3 487.5 4000 652.1 496.8 4100 657.7 513.6 4200 661.2 529.0 4300 657.5 538.5 4400 657 550.6 4500 657.3 563.4 4600 655.9 574.7 4700 655.1 586.5 4800 652.2 596.3 4900 651.3 607.9 5000 646.5 615.7 5100 643.5 625.1 5200 638 631.9 5300 639 645.1 5400 634.1 652.2 5500 629.7 659.7 5600 627.2 669.0 5700 624.3 677.8 5800 614.8 679.2 5900 604.5 679.3 6000 604.7 691.1 6100 597 693.7 6200 591 697.9 6300 585.5 702.6 6400 562.1 685.2 http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/q.../JADyno001.jpg http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/q...w65/JADyno.jpg |
702.6 Hp...wow!!!!
|
great pics and story, thanks Mark! I know Charley can't wait to get in and drive.
Jody |
Mark, Thanks for posting the pics and all the info. This has been a great build to follow.
I hope I get a chance to see JA on the road here in Michigan before you send it home to Charlie. Mike |
Awesome numbers.....that would be way to much drivetrain loss. I'd have to question those engine dyno numbers. Either way a blast to drive.
|
That is so awesome.
Seeing those pics of JA at the car show is just breath taking. The car just sits PERFECT and just by looking at it, you can tell it was put together VERY well!! Very nice!:hail:  |

Looks great Charley. JA definitely is a culmination of all the others done just right. After looking at it for awhile now, I wonder how an argent grill would look to tie in with the wheels?

Im still waiting on the Video :(
oh. She looks awsome |
I know the ZR-1 wheels are 19X10 & 20X12 And the C6ZO6 wheels are 18X9.5 & 19X12. And they are differant in design. I was thinking the offsets might be close to each other. I just was hoping some one would know the offsets.

Production ZR-1 wheels are.

Are the wheels being reproduced yet?
|
They are being reproduced, although I have yet to see them in true ZR-1 sizes.
They were originally slated for March of this year. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...ming-soon.html |
Off to Power Tour
Just picked up JA from Reiter's. The guys did a killer job. I'm very happy with their attention to details.
http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/q...5/DSC_2634.jpg JA travels in style on the best U-Haul has to offer http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/q...5/DSC_2635.jpg Luckily my girl friend Laura has a tow vehicle. Too bad she works for Ford. http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/q...5/DSC_2636.jpg Engine bay all squared away http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/q...5/DSC_2633.jpg |

Awesome!
Have fun on the 'Tour. |
Great cars are still built in Michigan.
|
Man, that car is so AWESOME!!!:hail:
ENJOY! |
it just doesn't get any better than that, can't wait to see it next week.
|
That engine bay is so perfect. Simple and factory looking install.
The way GM would build a '69 today. |
Power Tour Up Date
JA is running great on Power Tour. Charley just called me to tell me he is getting 23.6 MPG on the highway.
Mark |
That car is unreal. Very nice build and was glad to have a chance to see it in person. Nice talking to you Mark & Charley:thumbsup:
|
I saw it at the Quaker Steak and Lube show. My god that thing is amazing.
The part that impressed me the most was the amount of forethought that went into the car. The front roll cage can be disassembled for maintenance!! Now, that is planning! :hail: |
AC vent identification
Could someone tell me who manufactures the AC vent on the dash of Jackass.
Picture on page 31. Thanks |
Looks like a standard Vintage Air vent.

The car is very nice, and sounded great at Bristol. The track was slick so the et was a wash, trap speed was 126, if memory serves me correct.

EDIT: I think it was Mothers polish? |
Yes. That was Jim from Mother's. I had my car parked in their display most of the tour.
|
Good Job Charley ----- You almost choked.
|
If you had built me sumthin that would hook up we wouldn't have that problem....
|
Nice to see it being used...as intended!!

That car came alive at the big end of the track !! Jason |
At the little end it was just stupid me with tire spin. I tend to panic and floor it.
|
Charlie, any time you want to describe how JA rides and handles and anything else you want to tell us about it, I think just a few 'thou here might wanna know. :unibrow:
