I want to publicly state that Charley's post sent me into an absolute tailspin emotionally. I love him and we have had a great friendship over the years. We have had some great times together and my only regret is that we live so far apart.
We are all big tough guys and intimacy doesn't come easily to any of us... to share one on one is huge - and to publicly share is just over the moon.... I love you buddy! I love each and evey one of you and all your support behind the scences has been overwhelming. Gwen has finally been introduced to our community and she is just blown away by it. For whatever reason she just had no idea how tight we all are.... Sad that she had to take so many years to find out but WTF.... now she knows and we start a fresh perspective from her. ************************* For her - because she is living the nightmare every bit as much as I am - we are - as Charley said - headed to LA to make a deal on a Porsche Turbo S to drive home. She's always wanted one but wouldn't ever actually come out and say so. I mentioned doing this and she was all over it. DONE. LOL |
Not sure why we all were so worried about you GW...

YEAH....... Answer the question! |
Greg,
As you know cancer sucks and chemo sucks just about as much. I tell people that I not only beat cancer twice but I have survived 2 rounds of chemo and now I am learning to live with the wonderful side effects of my surgery's and the side effects of chemo which may or may not have reduced my risk of my cancer coming back. But hey I am alive and that is and was the main goal of the surgery and chemo. This BB Forum and this group of guys & gals have become like a 2nd family for me and many have helped me through so much and they don't even realize it. Listening to what you just typed made me look up "Rick Simpson Oil" as I had never heard of it before and I am for darn sure going to read up on it and see if it can help me or others that I have friend'd over the years that are also battling cancer and the side effects of treatments. As a group we are just a bunch of guys and gals that have a common interest and with that we all have this weird kind of friendship. Twenty years ago this would have never happened. In most case we just saw our car friends once or maybe twice a year but now because of these BB forums they created a weird look into everyone's life and a emotional bond to others because of the vehicles we own or build. It's weird because it used to be Ford, Chevy or Dodge people now we are all just car guys that love to see what others are doing. It's kinda cool and in my opinion better then facebook. I love this board and the friends I have made because it. Who would have though that I would have ever built three cars with a Redneck in Arkansas. Never in a million years would I have every thought that would or could have happened, but yet it did. We never know what's next so for me I just go with it as it makes life much easier for me. I have also taken alot of inspirations from Randy Pausch's "Last Lecture" as he is the only person that I can honestly say has really made me think about what is really important in life. Love you and I will continue to say a little prayer for you every now and then. Keep fight and stay strong. ps That is awesome that Qwen is finally getting her Porsche. Marty |

Greg my father has fought the exact same cancer. He was given a very grim outlook in the beginning. He is now cancer free and it been close to 18 months.
Keep on your scans after you fight this! Nick. |

In the beginning they gave me 18 months -- then they did a ERCP proceedure and came back and said "yeah - no!' ya got 6 months. That was a bit of a blow I can tell ya! Love you buddy! |
Greg,
It Was nice to meet you and Charlie Sat at Sanoma and I enjoyed watching you push him around the track. Your car seems pretty dialed in and I am sure with Sutton advising it is. He secret sauced my shocks and it completely changed my car from ok handling to a grip monster. Happy to hear that you have beat the dreaded C! Good News! |
