I am not building a show car winner here. :) Yeah I won't be blacking out anything under the hood. I like the way that is already coming together. Had considered black IC plumbing as we discussed but I think I will keep the industrial theme going there.

I like brushed and I like black. I think at a minimum I will brush the hoops if not doing them in black. One or the other there. After seeing EVS Motors/Ted's updated version of his J2Z 67, I think the chrome trim and blacked theme can be done and work well together. I really like his latest pics he posted and it has helped me see some similarities in what I was already trying to do as well.

Dave check out the latest pics with the car blacked out. Front bumper removed as well.

Need to get the bumper on there and I agree with the semi flat or flat black on the trim. Ultimately I would drive over and sample a semi flat, flat, etc. Renderings are one thing but your vision and the actual thing means more. IMO

Yeah I have to see it come together in person for sure. The good thing here is I can get it running and drive it with whatever finish and then change finishes and colors fairly easily with little down time. At least in theory...

Go for the mean look! Its a street car! It looks real menacing with the new changes on your renderings.

Thanks! I really want it to be more streetfighter with just a small % of nice, fancy parts like steering wheel, shifter, and a few underhood things. I think it can be pulled off. I'm gonna try anyway...
