Thx Men....sorry no tease inended. Need to go to dinner and wanted to sneak in a few pics. I do believe an LS3 based 416 w good heads and propper cam is a great way to spin up R's, but I had a chance to grab this and I was heading toward 400+ so it just made sense to do it now. Here's the plan:
Break it down, mic/blueprint everything and machine where necessary. Slight port on the LS7 CNC heads, possibly thow some Manley race valves in there (tbd). Match a cam to the best flow rate I can get. Order some custom Mahle pistons (builder likes those) and coat those and the stock titanium forged rods. Crank is already forged and balance the whole assy. Zero balance the alum Mcleod flywheel. This should give me as strong a bottom/top end as possible, but I'm open to critique...
I'm leaning toward an update to the dry sump system. I'll get w Jon @ Speartech and get a flash to match the mods for initial start up and then go to a chasis dyno....once i get out of jail and finish the build. :haha: |
