Awesome - I can see why you are happy with it.

I love refurbished and enhanced stock gauges, especially with traditional non-round layouts. I've got my hands full with my current and never complete project, but if I ever hit it big a nice Caddy build is definitely on the agenda. My dream is a '67 El Dorado.

That dash is beautiful. The rear ac is a pretty cool touch. Are you going to do heated seats?

Nice!!! Looking great Jim!

This is just the neatest build! I'm enjoying reading about this project and the creativity used to retain the period looks is terrific!

Still my favorite build to date! :hail: :hail:

And that's cool Vintage Air makes a rear A/C unit. I have that rear a/c unit in my 62 Caddy Limo and might just swap it out for this unit.

Keep up the good work!

Subscribed. Not sure how I've managed to miss this one all this time. I watch all the cool builds and even some of the Camaro ones. :_paranoid

Jim,

At events with this beast, you're going to think your name is

'I call shotgun'...followed by 'I call back seat'.:unibrow:

INTMD8 01-10-2013 07:25 PM

Thanks guys! And yeah, the back seat should be an alright place to be. I'm spending some time with it to make sure it will be nice for all but I think it's necessary being a 4-door.

So I mentioned the fresh air/recirc door I was working on for the front A/C unit.

I think this will do, no chance of stale air in this ride :unibrow:

Basically just a plenum that sandwich mounts between the blower motor and A/C box attached to a dodge ram fresh air door. Need to make a close-out panel and then route it up to the cowl.

Good thinking and good design, most hot rodders don't bother with fresh air feed once they go A/C but I think its very important. Now go nuts and add a modern cabin air filter too !

INTMD8 01-10-2013 09:18 PM

Thanks and good call on the cabin filter. I'll see if I can get something into the air box on the firewall.
