Jeff, by chance do you have any other pictures of the mods to the frame rails and tubs?

Tom,

I will have to look back through some pics to see if any have an angle that shows that area better.

That was the one event I really hoped to make this year!! I placed third there in 2012 in my 67 LS7 Corvette, I won 2 of the 3 events (drag and speed stop challenge). I placed 7th the year before. I love the event but just do not have time to finish the car for competition this year. I'll be there for sure next year!!!

I'll let you know how I do I'm taking my C5 Z06 since my nova is far from done. It's my first time ever doing anything like this. Hope I don't make a fool of myself.

Nah, you wont make a fool of yourself.

You'll have a blast. It's a fast paced event and you do have to pay attention to the schedule to ensure you get all of your runs in. Just know that the competition is tough, lots of good drivers and cars attend this event. Have fun and take the opportunity to ride along with other drivers on the auto-X, great chance to see how others attack the course.

I'm from Kyle Tuckers home town and one of my good friends went to High school with him so I'm going to try getting a ride with him to see how he drives. Figure might as well learn from one of the best.

Well, I obviously have not updated this thread in awhile. Between moving and work just beating me down this year, I have not have much time to work on the car. I have made some progress and hope to get it running in the next few months. Major items left are to wire it up, finish out the interior and fabricate some front inner skirts. I did manage to get the car to DSE's open house in October and Kyle was gracious enough to display it in the shop. Have to admit, that was a little intimidating having the car along side of their amazing projects. Here are a couple of pics from the open house. I'll post up some more with additional details over the next couple of weeks.

Congrats on the spotlight there at DSE ..... That's a good looking Nova!

Question: what did you fab for the hood hinges since you went with the fiberglass fenders? If you could post a couple pixs I would appreciate it!

Thanks,
Michael
