These do a really nice job of crimping for not a lot of money:

Doug,
great work and thanks for the tip on the crimping tool
I was trying to figure out how to do mine as I borrowed
one of my electricians tools a long time ago

That wasn't my tip! I used a standard crimping tool, a mini torch for soldering and this tool with a 3 lb hammer to make all the bigger cables. It did a great job and was quick and easy. I started to invest in one of those hydraulic crimping tools but found the small manual tool below very effective. So I just kept going with what was working. I rarely pass up the opportunity to purchase a new tool though. LOL

John,

Need your expertise here. I'm trying to pick out the proper belts and the only thing I see that are DOT approved are the Schroth belts. The rep pointed me two these...

Also am looking to buy new front and rear glass instead of using the glass with the defroster wiring. Do you recommend any particular glass companies to do these or is one pretty much the same cost as another?

Thanks,

Doug

You know it. Though this may be temporary since the carpet won't cover the expanded tunnel. Going to have to get someone to do custom carpet I think. Depends on if I can get a 2nd gen or 4th gen console to fit or not. I have one of each for a manual so if those won't work, then i'm going to need to build one or run with just carpet for now.
