Good Evening All,

What a weekend. Stopped by Rad Rides on Saturday to see the progress on the car there building
to compete for the Riddler Award. Wow is all I can say I promise I will post pics next week.

Okay back to the update.
Mocked up the interior to see what it would look like.
My Goal is to make it look like a Factory Prototype

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._03_03_002.jpg

The Factory Seats have been recovered in Leather & Suede.

Billet Door Sills - I Also have Billet Sill Plates to protect the paint.
Working on an Idea for the Side Bar.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._03_04_007.jpg

Quick Shot of the Dash.
The Dash will be leaving tomorrow morning to get body worked and painted.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._03_04_008.jpg

Ordered some parts from Lokar to compliment the Interior

Door Handles - I was going to go black but i need to get an accent color in the door panel

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._03_08_002.jpg

Cable releases for the door latch.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._03_08_001.jpg

syborg tt 03-07-2007 08:01 PM

Inside door handle pulls.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._03_08_003.jpg

Billet "Black" Gas Pedal. It compliments the Wilwood brake pedal nicely.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._03_08_005.jpg

I want to thank Eric at Lokar for helping me out.

That's all - Have a great weekend.

black2002ls 03-07-2007 09:51 PM

Thank you very much

deuce_454 03-09-2007 06:36 AM

everything about this build is just tastefull.. love the attention to detail, but also that everything is just a little understated, and a little better than it seems at first glance.. love it, and love the concept of keeping it "factory" prototype...

It's been very hard trying to stay true to the original rendering. But at least it give's me a goal or a vision to work towards.

Thanks again.

TEDDYS CAMARO 03-09-2007 08:59 PM

Looks good. I went to autorama....nice!!

syborg tt 03-22-2007 01:54 PM

Good Morning All,

The truck is going back together yet again and waiting to get loaded in the trailer to head over to the body shop.
Put the Cab back on Saturday Afternoon in between errands and go-cart racing.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._03_17_001.jpg

Working on the new Dash Layout.
Looks like I may change the Gauge color and go silver background instead.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._03_07_010.jpg

Tom was kind enough to send me all my material to match my seats.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._03_18_044.jpg

That is what's left of 2 really big Cow's

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._03_18_046.jpg

syborg tt 03-22-2007 01:54 PM

The Guy's over at Body Language smoothed the Dash and put a coat of paint on it to protect it.

Ordered the new headliner from LMC Truck.
The new headliners has an ABS backing instead of the flimsy foam backing.

More to come in the next couple weeks

black2002ls 03-22-2007 11:38 PM

looking good Marty! I've been itching for an update on this

syborg tt 03-28-2007 07:18 PM

Good Morning All,

Ron Wilson & I have been toying around with the Idea of a custom set of Skuff plates for hood pins.
Ron drew up the design with some direction from me.

Then Mike Renz Introduced me to the Guy's at Fabritek
Right out of the Gate these guy's said they would love to work with us.
Fabritek Co. Inc. Your one stop machine and fabrication shop.

Here is the design we came up with -- tell me what you think.

Thanks Marty, My thoughts are that it is always great to have people to brain storm with and come up with great ideas. They came out great!

Yep it was great working with you. It sure did save a bunch of money having you do all design work. You should tell people that's what you do and maybe they will take advantage of your talents and then use Fabritek to make the parts.

I would say it's a great marriage.

ps - check is in the mail for the design files.

novanutcase 03-29-2007 06:58 PM

Those things are sweet! Nice job!!

John

Good Morning,

It's gonna be a good month.
Popular Hot Rodding just did a nice little feature on the truck in June issue.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...PHR_00_640.jpg

Every Day it's getting a little closer to being complete.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._640.sized.jpg

Prior to the Article being published the truck was going to be painted at Rad Ride's.
However, due to schedule's and deadline conflict the truck is now being
painted at Kenny Davis Hot Rods.
www.kdhotrods.com

Did I say Thank you Steve - ps your hood pin will be ready to ship tommorow

TravisB 04-16-2007 07:49 PM

So I hear....thats right around the corner. I bet your wife will be happy, Arkansas is to far away for you to drop by the shop everyday and take pictures of progress which=more time at home for you....haha

BTW you have been getting lots of ink lately.....

novanutcase 04-16-2007 08:12 PM

Congrats!! My only question is why this wasn't published earlier!!! BADASS to say the least!!

John

black2002ls 04-16-2007 08:16 PM

I check the in progress forum every day hoping for an update. Glad to see this thing being featured. It truely deserves the press!!!

ironworks 04-16-2007 08:58 PM

Is Johns nova in there in the under construction section?

Congrats on the truck article.

Rodger

68protouring454 04-17-2007 04:42 AM

rodger yes the nova is in there looks good.

oh ya, unlike what martys article says, the syborg is being painted at KD hotrods, not radrides.

Garage Dog 65 04-17-2007 06:47 AM

I'll echo the 'much deserved press' comment Marty ! Very nice work and I just can't wait to hear that motor running ! Congrats !!!

Payton King 04-17-2007 06:54 AM

I agree

one of the most bad ass trucks that I have ever seen.

I hear those Arkansas boys do really good work. If I ever get back up to NW Ar I need to stop in.
