So let me get this straight.

YOu notice the car first. I am hoping you have a new girlfriend or a new wife.

That is your only excuse.

I installed the interior paneling this weekend. It is a shame all the hard work into the rear suspension is no longer visable.

The passenger seat and seatbelts go in next. Tomorrow, the glass gets installed.

Is that Kirkey seat comfortable?

Vegas69 05-15-2011 08:58 PM

Ya, on the race track. I think we can all kiss our aspirations of a pro touring trophy good bye. :D

I have had the Kirkey Road Race seat in the Corvette for years and I love it. Once you are in, it fits me like a glove. The sides are high, so it can be tricky getting in with the steering wheel in the way. I have an identical seat going in the passenger side.

SLO_Z28 05-16-2011 05:03 AM

Looking good! Will you be ready for a debut at GG in pleasanton?

The first official autocross will be this weekend at the American Autocross Series in Marina. I will not be running the Goodguys on June 4 - 5 with the Camaro. I do plan on taking the Camaro to the Goodguys show in August, but there is not an autocross there. Show only for that one. It will be a 1970 Camaro for that weekend.

Hey Brian - love your car man. Which part is the 'street car'? The license plate and turn signals?...

I know it is not the most practical car in the world, but it will be legal....enough. Headlights, brake lights, side markers, turn signals, windshield wipers, horn. I will have some different wheels and tires for the street later. I am still in the works with that.

73CPCAMARO 05-16-2011 11:42 AM

Here are a few shots of the completed interior.

I just received the awesome Ringbrothers hood hinges on Friday and installed them this morning. The stock hinges are garbage. The hood now opens a bit more than the stock hinges and feels so nice when you open and close the hood.

Still love your car. It just struck me as funny watching the interior panels on this beast coming together. After watching you at RTTC2 I know you're gonna kill it out there...:hail:

Jr 05-16-2011 01:38 PM

Absolutely killer build!

Good luck this weekend.

I can't wait to see this car at the next Good Guys or Run through the coast event.

Jr 05-16-2011 01:38 PM

Do you remember which brand of truck bedliner you used on the inside floors?

I used UPOL Raptor bed liner. It is very easy to use and I like the texture. There is not any high prices equipment to buy.

tones2SS 05-16-2011 05:15 PM

Amazing build. That is a killer car ready to rip.

I had the windshield and back glass installed today by Elite Auto Glass. The clear armor is being installed today and tomorrow along with the stripe by Elite Auto Films. Almost there!

The car is amazing.
What I like about it is that the build was obviously planned to do a certain job, then executed perfectly with amazing workmanship.
Aside from that, the collision shop it’s sitting in is pretty damn nice too!

Thanks for the nice words. I am fortunate to have a great crew at the shop, outside vendors, my Dad, and Maier Racing to make my dream car come true.

Brian,   Scott.

73CPCAMARO 05-18-2011 04:06 PM
