Wow. Blue and black combo is awesome looking. Really digging the grey underhood too.

What tires are those?

rjsjea 09-27-2011 02:13 PM

Great underhood details

KILLER work! Have to be honest, don't like the oil lines right above the exhaust collector in that close proximity. Heat sleeve them at the least.

GregWeld 09-30-2011 09:49 PM

Awesome stuff there Cris!

Cris@JCG 10-01-2011 07:48 AM

Thanks Todd.. It was not the ideal place for the oil lines but it was tough finding a spot for them especially where I placed the oil tank.. But I wanted the tanks feed point to be high so that gravity could keep the the oil feed to the engine.. Looked @ it last nite.. We will fab some stainless sheild to help with heat & keep direction of oil from falling in top of the header if we ever get a leak..

Today I had some help from my friends! Ken R was getting all the hoses on the A/C system plumbed & Dennis W was wiring the coil packs that have been relocated.. Most of the interior panels have been made & the headliner got installed yesterday..

http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_1583.jpg

Ken Witney from Wire 1 has been chipping away on the all the wiring requirements on the car..

Wow awesome job! Great color and wheel combo. Can you tell me which model are the forgelines and are they matte or satin black? Forgeline website has both for an color option. I thought they are the same. Looking forward to seeing the completed car at Sema.

Cris@JCG 10-03-2011 06:30 PM

Here we go Todd.. We did this this morning... the stainless will shield the heat & it will draw the oil to the sides if we ever get a oil leak..

Thank you! The owner & I were after a mechanical/race look..

We are still hammering away on assembly.. I can't believe that I am still plumbing.. This morning we had to build another shield on the driver side to protect the cooler lines to the block...

Car looks amazing! I almost went with a similar location for my coils but decided to change it for fear of throwing a serpentine belt and slicing the plug wires. I know it is rare to break a belt but...

Cris@JCG 10-07-2011 07:55 PM

I can understand your reason for not putting the coils in my location.. I was more worried about getting caught in a rain storm.. So, we built this covers to protect the coils from getting wet.. We need to paint them black..

Cris@JCG 10-07-2011 08:07 PM

Here is another pic of a shield we built for the oil lines on the side of the block plus it also keeps heat away from the wiring for the engine.. Take a look @ the bottom of the bellhousing.. It is a Mcleod.. I knew we were going to run the car low.. the lower portion of the bellhousing was the lowest point.. so we grabbed a stock f-body bell housing & a modified it look like the stock one.. Plus a notch for header clearence..

Vince@Meanstreets 10-07-2011 10:16 PM

Cris@JCG 10-08-2011 07:08 AM
