Thanks Josh.

Well, I don't really think you could identify me from that helmet pic. :_paranoid

Had to look up the word "hooning" to be honest.... that was a new one for me. Not much shenanigans on the street for me anymore as I have been saving almost all of it for the track!

tones2SS 05-04-2011 05:34 PM

Very nice Dave. Car looks great, and mean too!

Sandbagger 05-04-2011 07:12 PM

It's just like spooning - and living in San Francisco you should be all too familiar with that... :D

Good -- I can stay at your house when I go to Pleasanton... it will save me huge bucks over buying something in Napa Valley. :unibrow:

Yeah you can stay there.... one night per year... and that CamEro wine is required cover charge. :D

My requirements are minimum 2 car garage with extra shop space for those tools I don't know how to use and a 1/2 acre plus. The rest of the property can be a sh!t box.

KlasSic68 05-05-2011 12:41 PM

 Sweet photo shoot. I really like the mocked up driving shot!
Cant wait to see you two in action at Good Guys

Those are great pics. You got a steal on that car.

fleet 05-10-2011 08:33 AM

Might wanna take advantage of this weekend by making a slight mod to your voicemail greeting...

'Can't take your call cuz I'm busy racing at Willow Springs, and yes, you should be very impressed!'

Thanks Tom. It was a great project to pickup and fortunately for me it was exactly the direction my interest has been going, even though I did not realize it at the time of purchase.

Thanks brother!

So, prep for Willow Springs this Sunday is almost done:

DSE power steering cooler
Stainless coolant reservoir (ebay special!)
M-21 shift linkage stops adjusted (troublesome at RTTC2)
Champ dipstick installed -- (Todd, you impressed? )
Adjusted camber from -1.7* to -2.2*

Hoping to get temporary oil temp gauge installed to get a baseline reading on oil temps this weekend. Weather forecast is low 60s as of now so should be nice.

Yeah it's kinda dirty -- this ain't no show car! :lateral:

Vegas69 05-11-2011 07:55 AM

I thought every protouring car required being put on jackstands to check the oil. :unibrow: Looks good, have fun!

Track Junky 05-12-2011 10:50 PM

Have fun out there Dave. Are you trailering or driving? Is weather going to hold up down south? I heard we might see some rain at Thunderhill.

Could be a good time to learn how to drift , lol. Just kidding.
