IMHO "Obamacare" totally hosed the insurance that we HAD and liked --- costs have gone WAY WAY up - deductible is double or more... and coverage is less. All typical and expected when the "government" gets involved.

I thought this was an very interesting business model and I have looked around in my area to find a Doctor like this!

Their model is supposedly to have fewer patients -- with a higher / steady income for their practice. It makes total sense. They interviewed ME to see if they wanted me as a patient. Of course that's a two way street....

At the time I had an extremely high probability of death.... so maybe they thought WTH -- he pays for a year and only lives for 3 or 4 more months! SMART!!!! LOL

Actually -- the doctor thought my case was "interesting".... Which - I guess, if you're in his business - he'd be just like us - certain things would be interesting over the usual sniffles or a rash.

GregWeld 01-01-2018 06:25 AM

Woke up early this morning...... because I went to bed about 9 --- LOL

Happy New Year 2018 !!

So far -- Still cancer free! Thank you THC/CBD. Amazing. I still can't figure it all out but we'll roll with it.

I have not had any THC/CBD or smoked anything etc since March 2017 when the Mayo Clinic said I was 100% cancer free. I'm not on ANY medications - zero - not so much as an aspirin. Not bad for being almost 65 !

I go back to the Mayo mid January for another ERCP (they go in to clean out the stents in my liver - this is an every 4 months procedure now) and the usual battery of tests... at which time I'm hoping to get another "you're good to go" result.

Sadly -- I have made up an "email" about the dosage etc for the treatment of cancer - that gets requested almost daily by someone. It's not the rambling that has been posted here. It's more straight up - here's a video to watch - here's what you're looking for - here's the dosage - kind of email. If you know of someone that is interested - just PM me your email and I will (sadly) forward it.

I hope to not have to send it to anyone in 2018.....

Ordered a new pickup from Wes Rydell.... Thinking up a new race trailer.... New race car being built... The '40 is coming along... kids are good... dogs are healthy... Gwen still likes me...

Hope you get that project of yours on the ground soon.

I mentioned weed/cancer to a coworker just today. Told him how effective it is for some. Not the answer, but an alternative for some. He initially said "I saw a video that said that was all bull**** and not proven..." we had a good discussion about what I have read and it seemed to open his mind up to considering more than just one negative video... I hope with all the continuing legalization, more progress is made.

I welcome any emails from you GW, but I hope not to need that particular one.

I hope to never have to send it to anyone....

This "alternative" takes a very open mind. But really - it just takes the willingness to crawl around the internet a bit and follow the trail that takes. There's a zillion videos. The University of Israel is doing studies on it.... And the US Health and Human Services owns the patent on its medical use. Despite what the idiots at the DEA have to say <no medical uses whatsoever> about it.
Do ya think the DEA ever picked up the phone and asked the US Health and Human Services Dept why they have the patent on its medical use? Yeah... NO. We're talking "government" here.... that would never happen.

The truth is -- cancer treatment is big business -- $200 BILLION annually.... but we all know people that have done Chemo and Radiation and have suffered the side effects for months - and then passed anyway. Or been given the all clear - only to have it come roaring back.

I'm hoping this treatment works better than that.... so far... knock on wood... it seems to be. Time will tell.

In the meantime - I'm goin racin'

Update

I haven't posted much in here - because I don't want the thread to be about "me" --- I want it to be more about help for someone that is searching for answers to a very deadly disease.... My particular problem seems to have disappeared.... so far so good!!

But check this could of videos out!! This young lady happens to be a cousin of someone many of us Lat-G'r's know and love.... and when I was asked to forward "what I had done" - I gladly did so! Now --- watch the first video to see.. this poor young thing wasting away.... and then watch the second video after a HUGE amount of chemo / radiation / surgery.... and you know what...

waynieZ 02-11-2018 08:25 PM

So glad it's looking good for her. It's great that doctors are finally starting to try this to help.

DBasher 02-12-2018 07:03 AM

I love it!

So nice to hear, see and read these stories about people turning their lives around with a natural medication.

Thanks for sharing....all of it!

So great to see living proof that the medicinal properties of cannabis are real and proveable. May you have many more happy birthdays! Unfortunately, Big Pharm is going to take over the market and we will end up paying 20 times what it costs now.

Gmachine1911 02-12-2018 11:34 AM

Not one to speak often here but I can truly attest to the validity of CBD oil. My wife passed away after battling breast cancer in 2016 and it wasn't until afterwards that I learned about CBD oil. As a hardcore skeptic initially, I have to say that there's definitely something to this, and not just for cancer patients...anxiety, sleeplessness, migraines, etc. can all be treated with succes. I get mine from Zilis and can post a link for anyone interested.

Just flying home from Scottsdale Mayo Clinic after another round of CT scans, blood draws, consultations and all the waiting around that goes with that. Ugh.

They continue to tell me I’m cancer free... and that I had to be misdiagnosed. Whatever. They have no idea what I might have had that would mimic bile duct cancer, but refuse to believe that without “treatment” I could be cancer free. Okay. LOL

I’m now and will be forever stuck with these permanent stents which require constant intervention to keep the bile flowing... mind you... this requires flights to Scottsdale.... dogs in the kennel... hotel room expense etc. By April I will have
Been there at least once per month since December. I had an ECRP in January and am scheduled for another one in March. Easy right? They’re 3 hour surgical procedures... and cost $50,000+ per.

waynieZ 02-21-2018 10:46 AM

Greg I don't care what they call it your better now and that's what matters and I'm glad to hear it. One big problem is for anyone in the same situation they won't try this to save them. I'm so glad to hear some great new right now I need to hear this. So glad for you and the family.

A friend of mine used to say "If money can fix it, it's not a problem". I'm sure you agree Greg.
There are countless people on this forum that are glad you are going to be around for the foreseeable future.

Best!

Thanks for the kind words Bill..... right now -- what I really have, is a plumbing issue. The surgeons seem to think (they're just guessing) that they can continue to clean the stents out for "awhile".... basically we'll continue this course "until they can't". Nobody will know when that is. At that point - my only option will be what's called "The Whipple". Surgeon said straight up - they won't do that until my only other choice is death. Apparently it's not a great surgery -- lots of complications - digestive issues etc. The surgery is "easy" - but the post op is a problem.

Right now --- I'm just about two years "after death" --- and my plan is to stretch this out as long as I can!! LOL I do truly appreciate the extra time I can tell ya!

Lenie 02-24-2018 09:40 PM

Greg, yours is truly a great story...what a life, keep on racin'

GregWeld 03-27-2018 05:33 PM

Well ---- as many of you know --- I've been going to the Mayo Clinic about every three months for getting my roto rooter treatment.... each time they do biopsies of my bile duct and they've never found any cancer....

I was originally diagnosed May of 2016 --

At my January clean out -- they did some CT Scans -- and after doing the normal one - they called me back for another CT scan which looked at a different region because they had seen some "spots" on my lungs -- and they've been monitoring a couple lymph nodes.

So this visit -- last week - they did the usual roto rooter -- and took some biopsies of the lymph nodes - which the surgeon described as "worrisome".

Sadly -- they are more than worrisome -- they came back as positive for cancer. It's Adenocarcinoma

Cancer is like this --- it goes away -- only to strike somewhere else. Crazy - but we all hear this all the time.

While I will meet with the Oncologist at the Mayo ---- I doubt I'll use their treatment..... The THC/CBD oil I did last time -- (when I was MUCH MUCH sicker and had been given the death sentence) -- kicked that bad boys ass... So why not give it a go once again.

I share this here -- because once again - it will be interesting to see what happens. If it works again -- it will be further evidence that there's more than just poison (Chemo) to fight this crap with.

frankv11 03-27-2018 05:44 PM

Truly admirable the way you have handled this situation Greg. You have fought it head on by some what unconventional means while educating and sharing with all.. class act . No need for best wishes , just go and kick some cancer ass..

SSLance 03-27-2018 05:47 PM

We are here for you buddy!! Sorry to hear about the diagnosys. Way too much of this kind of news lately. Let me know if I can help out in any way.

waynieZ 03-27-2018 10:02 PM

Greg sorry to hear about this, the higher dosages did it last time and
I'll be praying for you and the family and for the same results.
Stay Strong!

The universe demands, rather Lat G demands you make it pass this complication not because your family loves you or anything like that but you are going to make it pass this for no other reason than to pester charley for the rest of his days, there i said it.

I have THREE ways to pester him -- actually 4 -- Phone calls -- Texting -- Lat G pages -- Hall of Fame Tours.....

I asked Shirley to take away his guns.... he could become a danger to himself.

LOL

SSLance 03-28-2018 09:09 AM

Did anyone else watch the TV show Bull last night? They had a case about a Mom\Dr sneaking CBD oil across State lines to treat her son with leukemia and 27 other patients.

Not a lot of info about the product itself during the show but it's good to see it seeing becoming more and more mainstream and being talked about.

Ha yes who needs guns when weld is still around lol.

Now are you currently easing your way back to your previous therapeutic dose of thc/cbd and will the dosing course (time frame) be shorter due to it being less aggressive form of CA? Guessing future treatments/dosing will be determined by follow up Radiology/CT?

My "plan" is to begin tonight with a 1/10 gram dose of 72% THC and same dose of 72% CBD oil in a gel capsule before bed....

I'm going to TRY that larger dose because I "think" I'll be able to handle the effects. Normally they suggest starting with a dose half the size of a grain of white rice.... but I'm an "old hand" now and therefore think I'll be able to tolerate (understand) this higher beginning dosage. Maybe not - we'll find out.

I'd like to ramp the dosage rather quickly and work up to taking the recommended 500 mg per day. Last time around I worked up to taking about 1000mg per day just because I didn't understand how to even work out the dosage amount. I plan to get to taking (ingesting) one full gram syringe (720mg) per day as quickly as I can stand it.
