The verdict is in, this mother facker is insane. I took Kelli out of town tonight and dropped her in 2nd at 2500 rpm, looked over and said are you ready? She's like yep, gunned it and it dead hooked all the way to 6700 and I can honestly say I've never accelerated that fast in anything. Planes, roller coaster rides, motorcycles, atv's,cars, anything. We both giggled like junior high kids hitting the bong for the first time. Kelli goes, "Can we do it again?" I thought this car was fast before but it's night and day. Yep, we did it again. The rear sway bar loosened the car up big time. 3rd gear at about 50-60 and 3/4 throttle in a sweeper getting on the highway and the rear end decided it wanted to help me around the corner. Loose is fast but it's a little to much for my liking on the road course. It' will be great for autocross and I'll move it u p a notch for the road course. The car feels a little more nimble now. Effortless cornering at any speed. I'm a very happy guy right now.

My conical seal fixed my leak. I've got some carb work to do. I put about 100 miles on today and reset the bowls, changed teh power valve and a couple primary squirters. The drivability isn't great. I think it's due to the stagger jetting from primary to secondary. I knew it would need some tweaking. Cruising is good and and the secondaries are great. It's the partial throttle to more load. I think it's to lean on the primary side. I"m going to throw 4 jet sizes in it tomorrow night. It's actually pulling more vaccum than the hydraulic cam did on 4 degrees less LSA. I'll get it figured out.

That's so good to hear!! It's so much work - and so much expense - to not have it come out smokin' hot! Love it!

Re: Driveability -- could it be the pump shot is not fat enough - rather than the primary side? The speed at which it should wind up - might be too fast for the pump shot (as is) to catch up to... Just a thought.

"No, sorry honey, just that one time. No more. Sorry." YEAH, RIGHT!!

One of the baddest cars on earth and a woman who supports it! Todd, I'm putting your name down for "Man of the Year"!

It's definitely on the primary side since it's only 1/4 throttle. It's got roughly 10hg at idle. It had a 4.5 PV in it since the old engine made 7-8hg at idle. I put a 7.5 in it and it didn't seem to help. Then I increased the primary squirter from 32 to 37 and it really helped. Going to a 40 didn't make much difference. I think the primary main jets are just a little to lean and and the squirter is actually to big just covering up part of the problem. I'm going to try 4 jet sizes up on the primary side and see if it helps. It's weird AED specs teh 850 HO with 8 jet sizes stagger betweent the primary and secondary bowl. We dropped the jet's 7 sizes on the dyno to make peak power but now I'm thinking with the extra efficiency and vaccum it want' larger primary jets. That carb was spec'd for the old engine builder and the crap he builds. If that doesn't work then I'll throw the thing in the garbage and call Patrick at Pro Systems. I've already changed the metering blocks as well. Fuel injection would be easier than tuning this thing by ear. I was going to put a Air/Fuel gauge in the car but couldn't package it in the dash. That would've helped.
