I walked right up to him and told him I wanted to say hello and that I loved his show on TLC. He shook my hand and even asked what my name was. He spent about 5 minutes with me and my cousin answering all our questions and then letting us in on how the Overhaulin' show was being revised. I couldn't believe how personable he was. When his table was ready he extended his hand and said, "It was a pleasure meeting you, Tony, thanks for coming up to say hello."

First class guy.

As it should be...no matter how much of a celebrity you become.Chip Foose is certainly a down-to-earth class act.
Try that with Reggie Jackson and see how well that goes...lol.

I agree, Chip is a great guy. I'm a nobody off the street, and he talked to me like I was his favorite neighbor. Great guy.
I met Reggie at BJ a few years back. Didn't talk a lot, but seemed nice. His body guard was there.

Reggie lives in this area and I've have several dealings with him over the years so I'll just say this:He can and will come off as the nicest person on TV or if you're doing something to stroke his massive ego but get him away from that and he'll blow you off like you're from another planet and you have b.o. to boot. Not a pleasant person, trust me.
Ask anyone who's had dealings with him and no one will have a good word to say about him...shame too.

The added fact that it was all packaged under a beautiful finish is just a testament to Jeff and his fathers will in pulling a "true" street machine together! AND it was home built! I will say that, hands down, Troy and RB's car were better but, keep in mind, they have a whole army of talent and a large cash reserve to get where they needed to to complete those cars and make them as awesome as they were. I think the judges were so impressed with the results that Jeff and his father were able to accomplish with the limited budget and talent that they had that they felt that it was a "special" case that couldn't be overlooked!

I say well deserved!

John

Thanks John. I appreciate the support. Wait, are you saying that I'm "special", like, I should be on the short bus? Kidding. Hey, It was great meeting you, you're one of the Goodguys! (pun intended)

The fact that you actually took a picutre of a less than perfect gap on another builder's car speaks volumes.

At some point man, ya just have to stop diggin. No matter who, what, where and why, ya just have to stop.

You've made your points, but no matter wether they are valid or not, people are going to argue semantics. And you'll never win an argument about feelings. If they feel you are wrong, there is nothing you can say to change that.
