ps - did you guy's think you can teach Kenny how to take pictures. I've tried and it just doesn't seem to help.

You know Marty, sometimes it much easier to give your builder one of those point and shoot $200 cameras rather than letting them take crappy pictures with their $1000 rig they can't run.

Is that a F1 blower? The work looks killer

ironworks 10-13-2008 08:47 AM

It is actually an F3 I had laying around from some other projects. We are using that as a mock up since the Transmission section of the blower is the same for all the F series blowers. Rich's mockup F-1 should be here later this week. The Cog system will be quite an improvement over the 6 rib system we were going to add into the Synister set up. We still have to relcoate the AC down below, We are water jet cutting those brackets today.

3-5 more wheeks for the new shoes. I can't wait.

I'm trying not to think about the wheels.. If I do then it will seem like 2x as long for them to arrive

Nice. So is their a fire sale yet on the old D1SC?

ironworks 10-13-2008 10:45 AM

Nope that was another mock up housing from brians 63. We buy mock up housings on all the Project cars we do and set up the Housing to what we want for each application, before we have the guys put in each blower.

Hay Rich what wheels? I don't know anything about no wheels :D

I just spent 30 minutes on prochargers website looking at F1 blowers with LS based engines. I could only find 3 or 4 different setups and each one was different than the other.

I will have to make a special trip down there for the engine dyno.
I figure that's 3 - 4 months away though :_paranoid

A little update on the project:

The rear bumper is fit up and ready to be welded then sent out for chrome.

The exhaust is fit up and ready for welding. What an awesome job on the exhaust!
