Rodger- Of course I knew about the “SIMILARITY” about the rear bumper… but I am done with it & have moved on to the next phase of the project.. In the end your whole rear section of the car will be different than what I did.. We built the whole rear section with the POS equipment we have.. Nothing special.. I don’t have a Pullmax with special dies to fabricate.. You have been to my shop.. nothing special around here… I have never been to your shop but know that you have the best equipment $$ can buy.. As for the rear spoiler.. You have given me your opinions on my spoilers.. You don’t like them! But my customers do.. & they are the ones paying the bill.. & if a customer likes a rear bumper that they saw on the forum & wants me to do it.. I will do it.. of course with my spin to it..

Bottom line is if you don’t want other shops or people to duplicate your work… Don’t post any pics till the car is done!

As for Brycen not working @ Ironworks anymore.. The kid has talent & would have been great if he came to work for JCG but it did not work to our benefit for both of us… One thing life has taught me is .. you never put all your eggs in one basket.. I am sure you have other guys in your shop that are capable of doing fab to the Ironworks level..

As far as Brycen being around to finish some of the work he has done on Dave's car, it is a bummer to lose a guy with talent, But if you think losing him is going to change one speck of dust on any project in my shop your sorely mistaken. There is plenty of other talent in my shop, there has to be to turn out the quantity and the quality of the work we do on a daily basis. This shop is not a one spoke wheel. Brycen had been here for 7 years and I'm bummed to lose him but the show must and will go on. And from my perspective if he is living in your neighborhood you would be crazy not to hire him for his talent, But it takes the customers to pay for the kind of quality my guys are used to putting out on a daily basis to make it work.

Dave- I have been aware of your health issues for some time now.. I hope to see that you recover here pretty soon.. Your 69 is one of my favorite builds on the forum & hope to see it completed..

Brycen saw what I was doing but did not express or give any information on how the rear bumper was done… We just discussed on how complex & how much work it takes to do a rear section to this level..

I will admit that the idea came from what Ironworks did on your 69 Camaro.. but understand that I work from the direction on what a customer wants to see in their build.. In the 2 years that I have been on this forum I have seen guys duplicate some of the things that JCG has done.. but I am well aware that when I post a pic of something.. that it can duplicated…

If Im not mistaken Neds cuda came to you after the 69 and the idea clearly came from Rodgers photos of my build IMO. Otherwise why would the issue even of been discussed with Brycen if you didnt think it mimiced my 69. Thus my reasoning for not posting build pictures of unigue ideas on my car lately. Either way, wherever you got your inspiration from (which we all get it from somewhere) the rear bumper idea sure looks like an exact duplicate and Ill just leave it at that. As I said before it does look great thats why I decided to do this on my car. We cant stop individuals from copying ideas but they should at least give credit where credit is due. Thanks Cris for being honest on where the "idea" inspiration came from.

You build what a customer asks for and if they see a car or certain details that they want incorporated into there build, understood. Im just going to have to send down some bigger tarps to hide the car:thumbsup:

Chris, do it...do it!! I'd like to see that green 69 come to fruition.

Really Dave!:D Because if I was paying attention I would of had Troy duplicate the same thing on my car!! Matter of fact I still have time.. I will tell you this, if it wasn't for the fab shops like JCG, IRONWORKS,ROADSTER SHOP, etc I would be lost. I hammer fenders for a living I have no ''vision'' these guys help me with that. I thank these guys and alot of others who help me steal there ideas. Whats cool is I can call Cris and Rodger anytime and they are more than happy to tell me howI can go about making there ideas work. Pretty cool!! Both of these guys have been nothing but good to me and at the end of the day they are competitors who have the same passion ! I think a little shout out to the person you got the idea from would go a long way no matter how small or big.:cheers: :lateral:

My cuda arrived at JCG in mid Dec....

My bumper and tail section was done 2 years ago and it looks very similar.... Never saw any of these previous pix.... I mirrored mine similar to Sick Fish

As with any aspect of car modification.... There are so only so many different ways you can modify the rear bumper on a 1st gen and have it look cool. Even if you never see pix of other cars, it's inherent that there will be design and mods that will come out similar

I have a 69 Vette and my 69 Torino.

I'm concerned Larry Shinoda and Zora Arkus-Duntov will be pissed about you stealing his gills from the C3 and Ford licensing dept. may come after you for "Ford's newest bright idea" "sportsroof".
