At the same time the Dynamat was going down on the interior:

And the firewall assembly started, with the Tilton 900-Series pedal assembly going in first:

Leaving us here:
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/may7b.jpg We'll assmemble the clutch tomorrow and get thre transmission mated to the engine for the final time abd, with any luck, we'll get the subframe mated to the rest of the car. |
Outstanding as always.

Our McLeod RST Street Twin clutch arrived so we took the opportunity to assemble it and install the Rockland Standard "Son of Tranzilla" T-56 using ATS's T-56 crossmember.

It's been a slow two weeks between holidays and an unfortunate delay at the coaters but I'm back on it now. We got the headers ceramic coated and installed now. I love the headers from this point of view - you never really get to see it and it really gives you an idea how much beef the ATS headers have:

James, projects going great. Love the brake set up on the firewall. Reminds me of Travis B's camaro set up. Real clean look. I would have done it this same way if I had the Know how but gotta draw the budget line somewhere:mad: Thanks for the pictures.

This car is really coming together...just awesome. Why did you go with the ricks tank? Are you going to put the gas tank in a cage? For example: Steve's 68 or vins 68...I was just curious

I went with the tank from (Rick's Stainless because it met all of the projects needs at this point in it's "life":
The Rick's tank does not require additional bracing or a cage; it uses two stainless straps and is mounted just like a factory tank. If we make a modification to the fuel system in the future for some regulatory reason then we would look to a slightly less (but still basically) stock layout. |
