Good Afternoon all,

Okay it's time to let the Cat out of the Bag officially.
Last Friday Night we packed up the trailer and headed to Nebraska.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._04_13_004.jpg

I wish you could see the front of the trailer -- it's packed with parts.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._04_13_005.jpg

So you ask what's in Nebraska? The "Recovery Room" is in Nebraska.
This truck isn't ready for Interior is it. Nope !!

My father and I figured we might as well kill two birds with one Stone.
Kenny was dropping off the 57 at Tracy's - so we figured we should just meet at Tracy's.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/albums/Build/kd_log.jpg

I'm pretty excited to be working with Kenny Davis Klan.
They are great group of guy's and so far we are having a blast picking on Kenny.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._04_16_004.jpg

Plenty more to come in the near Future.
So Stayed tuned as the next couple month's should be exciting.

we are real glad to get to work with marty on this project , this is a little out of the "box " for us . most of the cars we have done to this point are streetrods and 55-64 chevys .so to work on a different style car and a different style build is good for all involved. I have a hard time not making them " streetrodish " and making them " industrial " BUT we will work hard to finish this truck and make him proud of it.
PLUS this project has had some killer fab work done on it , the tig welds are the best i have ever seen !

Let me know if you need a ride from the airport Marty. Tracy's is just a 30 min drive from there.

Good Day All,

I would like to welcome our new Sponsor - Nitrous Express.
Brian, noticed the truck and said that we needed to work together and I agreed.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...ngs/NX_400.jpg

www.nitrousexpress.com or [email protected]

Our plans are to build an Intercooler chillier similar to the kit Jerry offers for the Syclones.
However the new kit will be custom built to our Intercooler.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...07_chiller.jpg

While were in there we figured we might as well add a little more go-go juice to the motor.
We still haven't decided which kit were going to use but I am certain Brian has something up his sleeve.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...arge.sized.jpg

syborg tt 05-07-2007 09:08 PM

Guy has been steady working on the Motor.
Collecting parts and working on some old parts that needed some TLC.

Way back in the day (April 2002) I was able to locate a sheet metal Moroso 2 Piece main seal Oil Pan.
Trust me it was very hard to Find.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...2_04_10_11.jpg

Dennis over at www.highspeedwelding.com trimmed the front cross member (August 2004) so we would be able
to remove the oil pan just in case there were problems with the motor. It's much easier to pull a pan then pull a motor.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...04_08_26_7.jpg

Dennis added some Simple Bracing to the crossmember for Strength.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...31_0.sized.jpg

The Guy's at Rockford Racecraft welded a new pick up to the oil pump to ensure proper oil supply.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._04_30_001.jpg

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._05_01_001.jpg

syborg tt 05-07-2007 09:08 PM

The pan has been stripped down and it heading to Kenny's so we can put in the oil return lines.
Once were done with the pan it's heading back to Dave at Comp Fab so we can clean up all of the Welds.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._05_01_002.jpg

Plenty more in store in the next few months.

You should change that bad boy over to E85. That way you can run on pump gas.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._05_21_001.jpg

syborg tt 05-21-2007 08:50 PM

Okay time for the real update.

Slid the truck forward from the back of the shop and spent a little time putting it all back together again.

That's Travis looking at the truck. Yep it's low !!

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._05_19_003.jpg

If you've ever met Kenny you know he likes them low and slammed to the ground.
We needed to lower the rear just to make him feel comfortable.
Yep it's low enough.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._05_19_005.jpg

Side shot of the rear tire tucked in the wheel well.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._05_19_009.jpg

That's Kenny drawing on the front cover.
We need to make an opening for the Intercooler.
Ps. That Kenny guy is really good with a Marker.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._05_19_020.jpg

Hanging the doors trying to get everything straight before they start doing all of the body work.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._05_19_023.jpg

By the end of the day the doors looked pretty good the fenders were back on and we all came to an agreement on the colors and finishes on the truck.

Plenty more to come in the near future.

Did i mention that he took a red scotch brite pad to my wheel.

black2002ls 05-21-2007 10:28 PM

looking good Marty! Whats the story with the scotch brite and the wheels?

Location?

I Don't Mean To Interrupt The Thread, But I Am From Harrison, Ar, And Am Just Wondering Just Where Kenny's Shop Is Located? I'd Sure Appreciate It.

I Have Been Watching The Build Up Of This Truck And Would Love To See It In Person If At All Possible.

You Have Got One Sweetass Ride, Thanks For All The Inspiration

Charles

TravisB 05-22-2007 10:56 AM

we are in avoca ar. Do you know where that is?

syborg tt 05-22-2007 12:51 PM

I almost forgot. The most important thing i learned this weekend is:

If you plan to iron your shirt while your wearing.

What ever you do - God Forbid

Don't hit the Steam Button !!!!

CHAZMO1986 05-22-2007 03:03 PM

No Sir, I Am Not Familiar With That Name.

David

syborg tt 05-23-2007 09:37 AM

Actually it wasn't me that got "Steamed". It was one of Kenny's buddy's and i seem to think Kenny also may have "Steamed" himself at one time.

ps - you should have seen the marks on his stomach. I almost wet my pant's when the guy told me what he did. If I new him better I may have laughed a little longer.

sick65 05-23-2007 08:22 PM

Glad to see you finally made it home Marty. I had a blast talking about the build on the plane. The truck is definitely going to be one of a kind. I look forward to Indy in a few weeks.
