Oh hell yea! Looks and sounds great!

Mike

67RSRAG 03-05-2015 05:12 PM

sounds great!! are you going to be doing a speed density tune or will you br going with a MAF(s) tune? Also curious how do you control both Throttle bodies at the same time? did you splice the TB wires or what? I love the look!!

Vince@Meanstreets 03-05-2015 05:17 PM

Another check on your wing. You broke the Borelli dyno!! Sounds bad ass

The Holley Dominator computer comes with a harness to connect two throttle bodies electronically through the computer. I think he is doing a speed density tune since there is no MAF sensor.

Thanks for the good words everyone. I can't wait until its tuned and all put back together. My neighbors are going to hate me.

Richio1 03-05-2015 10:20 PM

Good for you John

Very nice John.
She is sounding beastly.

John510 03-13-2015 01:35 PM

Doh! The car blew out the Currie differential on the Dyno this morning. New parts coming monday then its time to let it rip again!

Looking forward to seeing a video and some results.

John510 03-20-2015 04:07 PM

Stay tuned tonight for the video. Run 3 hit 513 rwhp.

Vince@Meanstreets 03-20-2015 05:02 PM

your around 570-590 HP. not bad. :D

see if he can get a driveline drag number for you. should have a coast test in his program.

HaHa... being a little conservative weren't we... :unibrow:

That's awesome John.

John510 03-20-2015 10:47 PM

Dyno Video is up!

excuse my language at the end I got a little excited when I saw the 513hp!

camcojb 03-20-2015 11:02 PM

That'll be fun, congrats!!!

waynieZ 03-21-2015 01:07 AM

Congratulation's John! Nice numbers..

RdHuggr68 03-21-2015 05:16 AM

Thats great John, now you have all summer to play! :relax:

Ron in SoCal 03-21-2015 08:22 AM

That is a spectacular result for cam and monster intake only. Be mindful of excessive bends when you put intake tubes and filters on. Dale lost 40 hp I believe with one 90* bend.

Congrats John

67RSRAG 03-21-2015 04:09 PM

Great numbers for your upgrades. Get your heads reworked and you will get close to your prediction.

:y0!:
Actually, his prediction at around 550 was at the flywheel. Remember, with manual transmission, you lose about 15% of the flywheel horsepower (about 20% for auto) So since the was rear wheel horsepower, at 513, that means the flywheel HP is close to 600 HP. So it actually exceeded his predictions!
600 HP X .85 = 510HP. That sound about right?

Either way, that thing is a beast!
:king:

Dyno jet has a parasitic drag test that is very accurate. We built a Drag Nova a few years back, had the engine dyno tuned then ran it on the chassis dyno and the parasitic loss test was right on the money.

John510 03-22-2015 10:37 AM

Ill ask him about the parasitic drag tomorrow when they run it again. They told me to multiply the rwhp by 1.25 because of the 9" rear end. I guess it takes more power than the 12 bolt

DETON8R 03-22-2015 04:40 PM

Nice

Awesome Video John!!
Good to see it is alive and SCREAMING!!

Are they going to tune on it some more? Just wondering if there is any more HP that they can get with some more tuning??

I'm envious. I'm too busy rebuilding a front end on an S10 4x4 with Junior, so I have not had much time to devote to my project.

Yes tomorrow they are tuning it some more and going to send me a video. Ill post up if there is any more power in it.
