I have a driving event (in the R8) - at INDE Motorsports Park in AriDzona late October - so if it all works out I might pick up the truck there (AriDzona) and take it to Indiana to pick up the trailer... We'll see. Sounds good now - but that time of year can be a bit hectic.

An event at INDE MP will definitely make you appreciate having the trailer. There is NOTHING out there in Bisbee/BFE. We did an event out there last year some time and were pretty surprised by how little there is in the way of services, hotels, etc. Bringing your own 'home' is the only way to go.

There's a couple of obvious car-guy compounds down there with nice homes and massive garages. I guess once you get that all you need is the helicopter to get you down there from Phoenix cause it's a fairly long drive (2.5 hrs or so?)

I went back a few pages and saw that you had ordered everything in white, any plans for dressing it up over the winter?

Man, what a reaction

Geessss Guys when I am replying to a post about the best home/hauler in the category being discussed please do not take me so seriously. But it did get some great complements to the character of Greg. The California warm sun seems to make some members sensitive. I have never been concerned for what people have and help those who do not have. My way of defining wealth or a person has never been related to money. Most people on this site are blessed to be in the "have" category in many ways.

I think I'll just stick every decal I get in speed parts boxes all over it!

NOT!!

I really don't know what I'm going to do -- but it probably won't stay looking like a refrigerator for long.

So now I'm glad you cleared that up!

Greg if you or anyone has found the hachet that will penetrate my forehead please call my wife! Collect is fine, she may even fly you here for a personal demostration at times:willy:

I personaly try and stay away from my wife when she's holding any sharp objects. Especially if certain automobiles may be part of a conversation she may over hear.

Don't you know someone at Brooks? Look at the vinyl package that was put on their double-decker and display trailer...Welds Traveling Circus! I'll see if I can find the pictures, you may want something a bit more subtle

Thanks Dan.

All white "ain't me".... but the truck was already in production, so all I had to do was change the upholstery and add the On Spot chains... and since I know a guy that can paint :D I thought white was alright. Once I get it and live with it for a little bit I might engage a designer and have them come up with some ideas for a wrap.

Sieg 08-23-2012 08:45 AM

Wraps would be the way to go IMO. The 3M vinyl on my 3 vehicles has far exceeded my expectations after 7+ years of outside parking.

Maybe I should wait until I tear the side out of it on the first telephone poll encounter?

I asked him to take some more shots and send 'em -- we'll see what I get. The Intros are complete one offs of course... a direct knockoff of a standard truck wheel. Should be really trick.

Yeah! Truth be known I'm a bit anxious about the whole thing being so big...
but I'll get used to it pretty quickly. I've owned some pretty big boats and they are no different. The key is just to never approach anything faster than you're willing to hit it. :D

Nobody does one off copies of existing styles better than Intro; they should give it that stock vibe.

With all that girth, I wouldn't worry about hitting most any other vehicle on the road...

Great truck Senor..

Can't wait to see the blackies you can lay down with 1650 lb ft of torque. Are you having them install a line lock? :unibrow:

Check with the Highway Patrol just to be 100% sure. I am willing to bet you need a Motor Carrier Permit of some kind. I dont know how the rules are with you being from Washington, and lord knows there is 1,000,000+ exemptions from commercials laws, but in CA most vehicles over 10,000 GVRW need a MCP even for personal use. My grandpas old rig was smaller and it had to go through all that hoopla.

Super badass rig BTW, im a little jealous!

I'd check with the Ca DMV to be positive if "visiting" trucks need them, but I know the fine for not having it if it was registered here is $1000+, first offense. Found this out the hard way. Hopefully being out of state may let you skip this, but I'm not sure. The permit is cheap, but not having it if it's needed and getting caught is not. :faint:
