Wow, a lot more great shots since the last time I checked!

I tried out a 24-85mm f2.8-4D for the Street Machine Nationals. I liked the focal ranges of it and so I think I would be happy with the 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G ED VR (which is the cheaper option), but I am still kind of leaning towards an 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G. What do you guys think?

Here is one of my favorite shots from the Nationals.

Sieg 07-09-2013 09:08 PM

You know better than to ask!

I think you should get both of them and not the cheaper version of the 24-85mm. :rules:

You asked :D

I just picked up a 10-22mm for my 1.6 sensor 7D and I'm very happy, especially when shooting cars, architecture, and landscapes. Also bought a 18-135mm EF-S STM that is very sharp and versatile...........and the new Sigma 50-150mm 2.8/f is money!!! :sieg:

It got a little weird looking tonight 'out back'.

Pic came out lighter than it was. Strange seeing the water look so dark around 7 pm.

New inheritance that created some photo op's while cleaning and repairing today. Ernest Gabler & Bro Parlor Grand built in 1908, company was established in 1854 and a victim of the great depression in 1932. It's in remarkably good shape for 105 years old. No.......I don't know how to play.........yet. :sieg:

Took these last night at our Founders Day festival, sorry not with the good camera. The crazy thing is that it didn't rail until the dark clouds past by, then it opened up real heavy for about half an hour.

You're in California and Yellowstone is only five hours from you, Jerry? Just how fast do you drive?:confused59:

I was in Yellowstone last year at the beginning of September and it was amazing. I recommend everyone go but then again, I'm a science nerd so I like all this geological stuff. I'm headed to the Grand Canyon, Sedona, AZ, and the Hoover Dam this year in a few weeks. I'm stoked about taking the tour of the dam.

lol, I figured. Yosemite is on my list to see as well. I'm only half way across the country so it's still a long ways from me. One day I'll get there though.

ha, very true but I only get two weeks off a year. I'm also originally from the east coast and have seen most of that part of the country. I've been elsewhere too. There are a lot of places I want to see in this country. I'll get there eventually.
