Being a moderator, I'll just say its husky. :BlahBlah:
:D Seriously, glad you didn't settle for the Shelby R code look Matt. |

Well you know my opinion, to look correct, it needs to look more like this.LOL

When you're carrying the right front off the ground -- nobody cares what the front end looks like... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Its looking good Matt. I think the chin spoiler running to the wheel opening will bring it all together. He does some nice work.
|
Matt, I like the direction you are going, and can't wait to see it.

Hey Matt. Pretty impressive project. I'm excited to see the rest of the build. I'm working on a basic 66 mustang for a friend and he's giving it to his daughter. It's a 6 cylinder/auto car that's needs some love. You happen to have or know of any spare parts? Are you going to Goodguys Scottsdale? Paul and I are headed there minus the women this time. Hopefully we'll get to work the camaro over some.
Thanks, Cal. |
Dam, I miss that Stang

Quarterly? It's been down three times this last quarter! LOL Jack built it too well for me to ever want to sell... It's just way more fun to drive than the Lotus. |

And I speak from experience as the guy who just junked his fiberglass GT350r front end that had a good amount of work put into it. |

Mattman --- That's why I always refer to what we do as a HOBBY.... it is just that. If someone doesn't enjoy upgrading - changing - rebuilding (whether they do the work or pay someone else) - they should just find something else to do. The fun is staying relevant - dreaming and scheming - hunting and gathering.... |

Matt ---- I'll have "Da Rig" at Laguna Seca that weekend for the USCA event. I'm going to pick up the RideTech Camaro and haul it off to the GoodGuys Fort Worth Texas event (March 14/16) and then the following weekend (March 21/23) is the USCA Fort Worth (Texas Motor Speedway) event....
I'm looking to haul one other car (three car hauler) - Bret's Camaro - My '33 - and one other... to those Texas events and then return to California on my way back home. I've asked Brian Hobaugh if he would like me to take his car -- or The Pozzi's... but as of now - I have an empty space. NO CHARGE by the way... I'm not commercial... I'm just doing it because I want to. |

I LOVE THIS!! I have a 65 that will get built someday down the line and agree that the 65 R front end is overdone... This is greatness and your car looks like it's coming together well! Keep it up and posting pics! |

with Paula and then Paul and I are hooking up the trailer and going(somewhere). We may see you. If not, at some point I will pick your brain on some mustang parts for this car I'm working on. Thanks, Cal. |

Anyway, here is a little more progress. Thinking about how much of a splitter I need for the front. I'm trying to keep the core part of the design timeless, and possibly have a few agressive looking race car parts that can bolt on and off. http://i366.photobucket.com/albums/o...pscc65022a.jpg |
Looks great!

Greg, I really wanted to make something that could be produced in small volume, but people would have to add two inches to the bottom of their front fenders to make that front fascia work. I don't know why, but people seem to be afraid of buying parts that aren't advertised as "bolt on." Maybe I should advertise them as bolt on. All the other crap out there would probably require just as much work to fit. I might bring Alex the hood though. |
Sitting back on the ground now. One step closer to catching Dave... It might be the only time this little Ford ever does.

http://i366.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps4cf5968b.jpg Oh, and Ron because you want more pictures, he is the other project that has been occupying some time, I'll call it the "Super Secret Project.". Ron, you've probably seen since it almost all buttoned up since Brad said you were over at QMP recently drooling over parts for your, uh, formerly super secret project. For everyone else, here is a little more Mod Motor goodness. size and cost aside, I really like how smooth they run, and how quick they will rev. I think Rob and Skip might be the only other people out there that will find it cool! http://i366.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps6f6f92c6.jpg Hasn't been dyno'd yet, but we're almost there. It has: aluminum 5.4 GT500 block, dry sleeved and bored to 3.700," and diamond honed, then destroked with a lightweight billet Winberg crank and complemented with lightweight rods and pistons. The heads are Ford GT/GT500 castings which have been ported and polished and topped off with custom ground cams and lightweight stainless valves. Once the Dailey dry sump arrives it will be time to see what it makes! It isn't the cheapest way to make power but it should be responsive, rev to no end and retain more reliability than one of my LS engines..:_paranoid |
 I see so many Mustangs with the same stuff over and over so I don't get excited too often but I'm loving the front end on this car... if you don't make parts I'm just going to have to copy it!!
....and what do you mean parts don't "bolt on" to these cars!?!?! :weld: |
My weekend is complete. Thank you Matt :hail:

Really digging the lights in there Matt, looks awesome.

Pretty killer stuff Matt!!

I could be like the majority of other manufacturers and advertise that everything bolts on. Besides, part of the reason this looks cool is because it actually looks different than the typical Shelby or Eleanor restored. :unibrow: Quote:

Come on Ron, share it with your friends. I want to see what my options are so I can cross shop and compare tread width and real world grip across brands to select the best possible option.

Did somebody ask about Hellaflush:cool:
