Greg, My heart is heavy with this news. If anyone can do it again its you! your story has inspired and changed my views concerning other treatments and I freakin' hope that you can kick its ass again. It would be a big middle finger to the traditional way of thought on treatments that we have all seen loved ones die using. I share your fight with everyone when cancer conversations come up in my circle. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you jump back in the ring. Go get 'em Greg
|
We all love ya. You know that. Heck, even that Charley guy.

Thanks Mike!! I have Thunderhill rented for a private test and tune day - June 28th - for the new car.... come up and hang out with us. We'll talk S****T then!! LOL Quote:
Brycen --- Even my Docs are now coming around to my way of thinkin' !! It's been kinda fun to see them begin to open their eyes. Surgeon said last night "well you've certainly re-written all the rule books!" LOL My trackin' buddy Pete called this morning -- he was diagnosed with terminal esophageal cancer about 4 months before me back in 2016.... We discussed the fact that about 50% of cancer patients die from the CHEMO..... Now --- this is changing - because of the new "targeted" treatments - and I will listen to what the oncologist has to say when I meet with them -- but basically I'm a non-believer in what they're pushin'. Actually ----- I've just been emailing with the track ---- the track will be closed to anyone other than just the few testing folks (3 of us)..... Didn't realize the liability and having to hire extra folks if I have people wandering around etc not directly connected to working on the car. Makes sense now that I got it explained to me. DOH. |
No. So sorry to hear/read this. Prayin for you bud. Don't know what else to say....
|
Kick butt at 90+ like Doc!

No need to say anything else Mike..... thanks! Oh -- and remind me if my posts turn in to gibberish. Charley already thinks they are... but I need someone that can actually read to keep me on track. LOL |
Greg, im looking forward to a future posts that says something about a confused doctor, and a mis-diagnosis...again.
Do your diligence boss. You know what we will be doing out here in ga. Just don’t start selling anything this time around. I bet Charley’s chomping at the bit, to get a deal on something... |
Quote:
I'm leaving Charley all my debt -- so he'll have that going for him. No mis-diagnosis this time -- or last time either.... Mayo - who has characterized the liver bile duct issue as a misdiagnosis has now said - well this must be from your liver cancer..... LOL People are so confounded they really just don't know what to do or think. NO SELLING THIS TIME --- I've got a new hot rod to drive on Hall of Fame Tour - I've got a new track car being completed - I've got a new Ford F-450 ready to be picked up..... I got stuff to do!! Thanks Scott..... I'll keep trying to post up info here as I have it. |

Greg, Before the first dose of THC and CBD hits, I have a question. Now in case the THC and CBD has already hit, I will ask the same question in 2 ways. The first is in a non high format, the 2nd is in a high as a kite format. 1) Did you find in the midst of your previous THC/CBD dosing, did your appetite increase accordingly and did you feel your demeanor/personality change as well while “high”? Is an increase in appetite while dosing inevitable or is it a myth? Did your personal trainer hate you for snacking? 2) Bro, when you were like totally baked bro did you ever get the munchies bro? and while like high, did you feel like Jeff Spicoli Van Halen Running with the Devil - I wanna surf some totally tasty waves high or were you like more mellow like Jeff Bridges, the dude - Big Lebowski listening to Creedence Looking Out the Back Door sipping white Russians high? Was your personal trainer like totally bogus about your snacking bro?? |
Greg,
Truly sorry to read this news. I join the LG legion that are thinking about you, praying for you, and hoping that you are not still totally buzzed while doing the HOF tour in that phat '40. :grouphug: |

Thanks Bill !! This time around I can better manage this -- and the course of meds I'm on - that's a 90 day deal -- so I will be off by the end of June. That one HOF tour was probably fun for everyone else -- but I barely remember any of it - won't do that again. |
I hope to be able to witness your HOF performance (or lack thereof) in person. I'm on the waiting list, so we'll have to wait & see.
In the meantime, kick some C arse! |
This will be a walk in the park compared to last time.
You got this, and you will kick this cancers ass ! F*CKCANCER! |
Good Luck Greg,I know you will beat it again.I tell everyone about how you fought cancer and won with your treatment,so do it your way and win again:thumbsup::thumbsup:
|
Greg, I'm praying for a speedy "kick that cancers ass" recovery for you.
I know you have the right cocktail for it, and you will put the pedal to the metal. We all love ya around here. |
I hated seeing this thread come back to the top and then reading why. Fight the good fight Greg. Plenty of people here to support you!
|
Damn Greg. I sent you the “kicked it’s ass” message, now this.
My bad! Whip it again, buddy. Strong letter to follow. |

I feel better now that I have someone to blame! |
Oh Crap!
Gregg,
I guess I have been off in my own little world last couple weeks. When I read the latest posts here last night, I literally said noooo! out loud. I am comforted by the facts that you have too much going on right now and you are just ornery enough to not let that little c-word stop you. Keep fighting the good fight and remember everybody here is praying for your well being, because who else is everybody going to pick on? Take it one day at a time, but keep adding those days up buddy. |

x 2................. |
Well I just had my Mayo Clinic Oncologist appointment.... I will sum this up with "a total waste of time".....
A quick recap -- the Mayo was the THIRD hospital I visited after my May 2016 Cancer diagnosis.... I didn't see them for 9 to 10 months after my initial diagnosis... at which time they proclaimed me cancer free... Now they're saying this cancer is part of the original diagnosis - and that while there is chemo treatment -- it isn't "curable" - only treatable... and with chemo (which I've NEVER done!).... I should get a couple years. LOL ---- are you serious?? So I'll just do my own thing -- THC/CBD oil..... and I'll just live until I don't. LOL |
Amazing with all the advances in medicine and top notch centers you're going to you have to deal with conflicting diagnosis. As you said, live life to the fullest, live healthy, and don't pay attention to worst case scenarios they pull out of their arse.
|
Quote:
Crazy huh Adam!?!?!?! If I'd have chosen to do chemo at the time of diagnosis -- I'd be dead already.... Instead -- I haven't spent only about a week of the entire ordeal even feeling somewhat ill..... Sure hope my new race car gets finished here sometime soon! LOL |
They gave you six months last time so this time you ought to live until your at least 80.
Many things they can do these days is amazing to me, but they don't have it all figured out by a long shot. They just discovered a new organ last month. I bought some CBD and definitely noticed less soreness from Crossfit at first. Kelli also tried it and it completely wiped out a migraine in minutes. It seems like you must keep taking more and more to achieve the same results. I've only had it a short time and I think I'll use it just when I need it moving forward as my body seems to build up a tolerance quickly. |
Quote:
Yeah no kidding!!! Tolerance doubles every 4 days!! I noticed this time -- I started out with a 1/10th (100mg) dose and the next night jumped to 2/10ths --- that would have absolutely wiped me O U T for about a week last time I did this! This time was a total "ho hum". That's not to say it's not powerful (the THC) but it just is easier to handle the "high" this time. A couple of our friends have gone from taking Ambien (nightly for years) -- to just using CBD oil for sleeping..... |
Greg, just spotted the bad news. I hope you are as successful this time as your were before. Mary and I need to hang out with your some more!

Help please
Hi guys, on the same topic, my sister in law Katie has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and she has a 4 month old baby. We're trying to raise money for immunotherapy treatment in Germany [we're in the UK] but the entry price is £100k. We've tried alternative every therapy that we can get hold of but this is so aggressive it's not touching it
Kate's story and fundraising page here Thank you |

Copy..... Have to say -- this time around -- taking this stuff is a piece of cake. FAR better than the first time (never needing to would be preferable). |
Greg, all the best for the future, there are still so many tracks to run and cars to build. I've not read every post, have you looked at immunotherapy? we're raising the money for that at the moment.

Thanks!!! The Mayo is sending my cancer cells out for "marking" or genomic info. I think they're sending to Foundation One at my request. Now -- all that does -- is tells you if your cells have a specific makeup.... and if you know that makeup - there are "targeted" therapies that might be/ will be selected because they've been proven to work well with that marker.... For now - I'm going to do my 90 day - 60 grams of THC/CBD -- and when I'm back down (to the Mayo) for other testing etc - about June - I'll see if my "juice" is working.... if not (in other words are the lymph nodes shrinking etc) it'll kind of be an "oh well".... because I'm not doing chemo. My cancer is "treatable" -- it is NOT -- "curable".... I don't care to take on chemo when it's not one of the new targeted / immunotherapy treatments and so far - those have not been offered (if there even are any). |
FYI...Somewhere in this thread there was mention of Doctors in Cuba using Red Scorpion venom to treat Cancer. A friend has a daughter with stage 4 breast cancer. She went to Cuba and underwent the treatment a couple months ago. Made her very sick but the Doctor was with her all the time. She is now cancer free. Tumor went away.
